So I had an idea of a changeling character. A slightly nervous but mostly a deceiving and hiding spellcaster(ish) class. I looked at druid, warlock, bard and wizard. Because one (if not) my favorite spell (at least 9th level) is shapechange. And only druids and wizards have it. (Which makes druids so much better at level 18+) But I also really want hellish rebuke. Both because I like the spell, it lets me deal a little damage so I can focus my action on other things, and I like the idea of using hellish rebuke as a way of quickly dropping my form and showing my horrific true nature and it deals damage. I like the sound of that. So I was hoping that there would be a way to get both of those spells. I know of bard and the magical secrets n' shit, but you cannot get it from that because it's only allows you to take spells from a level you can cast. I know Hellish Rebuke is a 5/10 spell but, I do a lot just for the sake of role play. I'm sure you can understand. (PS: I love warlock but they don't have shapechange.)
How about go with either Druid or Wizard, taking the Magic Initiate feat and selecting Warlock and selecting Hellish Rebuke as your level 1 spell for the feat? Seems like the easiest solution to your conundrum.
This would mean you can only cast it once per day and only at level 1, but it's better than nothing.
Alternatively you could take one level of Warlock, but I understand that is not something you would be interested into doing... or go Tiefling as your race, but again you could only use the spell once, albeit as a 2nd level so with increased damage.
One last option would be to homebrew and make the Hellish Rebuke spell available to your selected class.

The feat was not a bad idea! I forgot it was a 1st level spell! xD I was thinking of just having my character make it and then chancing the damage type or something. But thanks! That was a good idea! ^^
Just remember that for Hellish Rebuke and the cantrips you'd select for the feat you'd have to use CHA as your casting stat, but if you can always select a couple of cantrips not influenced by the stat you should be good to go (it's also a good way to integrate the cantrips you already have from your main class).
I think if having that specific spell is important to your character, but you don't want to alter the trajectory of the character's class development, then magic initiate is the way to go. LeK is right on the money there. It's the perfect reasoning for why you would want that feat.
Yeah magic initiate is really always a good feat. The rogue takes it? Alright, he can now get a familiar. Like a quasit, and it can turn invisible. Or an owl that can fly. And he can take the mage hand cantrip. A cleric takes it? Alright, now he can get say, inflict wounds or even cure light wounds at least once a day. Or any other spell that might be useful to him. The barbarian takes it? Aaaaalightyyyyyy! He can now use Expeditious Retreat! Or once again, cure light wounds. There is so much that feat can do. Man I love it!

No problem, glad I could be of help :)
