A paladin uses divine smite with a non-magical longsword. Is the longsword a magic weapon for overcoming resistance to "non-magical slashing, piercing or bludgeoning damage?" Or is the slashing damage still considered mundane? Based on Sage Advice, I would assume the slashing damage portion would still be mundane damage, since the description of Divine Smite says nothing about making the weapon magical.
