Valenar and Aereni are variants to high and wood elves, but are still high and wood elves. Similarly all if the variants of half-elves and tieflings can still get the feats of their base race.
*Though variants of sub-races are a bit more complicated than variants of base races, this is how it should work.
That's what we believe. I guess I'll have to post the question to Sage Advice to get official confirmation, then maybe we can get DnDBeyond to give Valenar High Elves access to Fey Teleportation. :)

So wait if I am a Valenar High Elf do I retain the stats of both or is it just one you might have already explained this but I still don't fully get it.

I don't understand your question. You have the stats of a Valenar High Elf, they are the same as a normal High Elf, except replaces elf weapon training.
And for the record, you can turn off the feat prerequisites to select fey teleportation until DDB fixes this.
Curious Question if my high elf ranger takes Fey's teleportation as my feat does it get access to misty step? I'm still new to the whole feats and how they work in Dnd?

RAW, no. Your DM may allow it.
The official rule for spells granted by feats (or race, etc), is that if the spell is treated as a class's spell (as with magic initiate), it can be cast with spell slots if you are that class. So a bard with magic initiate (bard) could cast the level 1 spell added by the feat with slots, but the same bard with magic initiate (wizard) could not cast that level 1 spell with slots (only the free once per day). The same applies to other feats, and since fey teleportation does not say misty step counts as a ranger spell (or any class's spell), you can't cast it with slots.
I wasn't sure about this rule until I looked it up.
Hmm I'm curious because I've seen so many character builds online with high elf rangers using it. Plus rangers have access to a lot of wizard based spells?

The horizon walker ranger can get misty step. And fey teleportation is still a pretty powerful feat considering you can cast the spell every short rest.

First, we use a House Rule where Valenar High Elf can use the Fey Teleportation feat since the words 'High Elf' are in their name.
What I am wondering is if there is any official ruling concerning this. So far all Racial feats have been only for Player Handbook races . . . :/
