Hey not sure if this is the appropriate place but Is it possible to learn extra cantrips as a wizard beyond the table limit. If so can they be added on dndbeyond?
The Magic Initiate feat will do it for you as well.
When in game events gave my character a druid cantrip, I used magic initiate temporarily, but I still preferred to make a "DM only" feat to separate it from the rest of my feats.
There are a few other feats that allow for additional cantrips and the high elf does get 1 to start.
Of course, multiclassing does allow for the possibility of additional cantrips as well, specifically arcane trickster (rogue 3) and eldritch knight (fighter 3) for additional wizard cantrips (perhaps artificer is there too if UA is available. Haven't looked at it recently).

There is that, but I assumed he was just asking if he can add more spells. I may have assumed incorrectly. If I did, you can learn your choice of additional cantrips within the rules by:
Level up the wizard to level 4 and/or 10, the wizard learns an additional cantrip at each of those levels.
Multiclassing into any spellcaster class except paladin or ranger.
Multiclassing into fighter or rogue 3 levels to become an eldritch knight or arcane trickster subclass respectively.
Taking the magic initiate feat.
Taking the spell sniper feat.
Being a high elf
Being a half-high elf variant
You can learn even more, specific, bonus cantrips by being certain subclasses or other races.

By RAW, not really. If your DM is saying you can have extras, you can make a homebrew feat that adds cantrips and put that on the character.
Thank you! I hadn't considered that
