Is the Daylight spell, actual daylight or light equivalent to daylight/sunlight. Just asking as as for example a Spectre has disadvantage if in daylight. Would this also include spells like Light and Dancing lights?
Huh, that's a good question.
RAW, magical sources of light are not actually "sunlight" unless they say they are. Despite the name of the spell, "Daylight" just describes it as a bright light, and would not trigger sunlight sensitivity or weakness. (sage advice: https://www.sageadvice.eu/2016/04/01/is-the-daylight-spell-no-longer-sun-light/ )
There are other spells which ARE described as creating actual sunlight (https://rpg.stackexchange.com/questions/57642/does-the-daylight-spell-hurt-vampires , which suggests sunbeam and sunburst)
FTL thank you for the info.
