Hello! I am pretty new to playing dnd but have begun to think about getting a picture of my character, and perhapps try to "voice act" to see if I could make it more fun when we play. Can anyone give me some hints?
Half elf male with 8 in str and int, 17 in cha and 16 in con. Little over avarage in wis and dex. I understand that low str makes a character weak, but does not high con meen something about physical atributes as well? Is high cha only "strength of character" or appearace as well?
Sorry if it is a "noobish" question, but I only played two times so far.
In my experience, physical appearance doesn't always accurately dictate vocal characteristics. I would daresay that, in my experience, there's a wide variety among those who share similar physical characteristics.
I'd say, "Go with your gut," on this.
On matters of CHA, you can interpret that several ways and none of them are the necessary rule-of-thumb. Some of the people who do not fit the supposed "ideal" appearance can be very charming just as much as the "perfect specimens" can be downright off-putting. It can also mean both "attractive" and "strong character" at the same time. Again, I'd say, "Go with your gut."

Human. Male. Possibly. Don't be a divider. My characters' backgrounds are written like instruction manuals rather than stories. My opinion and preferences don't mean you're wrong. I am 99.7603% convinced that the digital dice are messing with me. I roll high when nobody's looking and low when anyone else can see.🎲 “It's a bit early to be thinking about an epitaph. No?” will be my epitaph.
Con doesn't necessarily relate to physical appearance. I've met lots of little, old people who are tougher than nails.
CHA is about force of personality. Physical appearance (how pretty you are) is not covered specifically in stats. Strength might impact appearance, because of muscle mass, but it really doesn't have to. There are lots of really large guys who are kind of weak, and skinny guys who can lift very heavy things. In short, you can use your stats to help you decide on your appearance, but you really don't have to.
As far as a voice, I'd think INT would be a deciding factor. Smarter people typically have a very different speech pattern and use a larger vocabulary. With a low int, high cha, I'd think a likeable dim bulb (like Chris Pratt in Parks and Rec).
Go with whatever you feel suits your character! There's no right or wrong way to voice your PC, but make sure that if you are going to use a voice when roleplaying that it's one you are comfortable talking in for extended periods!
High con would make your character very hardy. You may not be the strongest (i.e. with that strength stat you won't be bodily throwing a dwarf halfway across a tavern) but you can push yourself for longer (you can drink him under the table instead).
