I am new to DND and also new to DNDbeyond. My Wizard recently leveled up to level 2. I am trying to select my school of magic and only have evocation available. Thinking that I cant be the only one experiencing this problem, I read some of the threads on the matter and am now more confused with the possible solutions. Can someone please clarify?
Solution 1: This is only a beta and the classes will come available August 15th. Well that date has past and Im still experiencing the problem. When Can we expect it to launch if at all?
Solution 2: Purchase a Character Building Set through the marketplace? I searched the marketplace and can only find PHB, Monster Manual, and adventure guides. How to I unlock the other schools?
Solution 3: Buy a Master Tier subscription or join a campaign with someone who has one and get linked? Will i be able to unlock it after that? I just need the schools unlocked
Solution 4: They do not exist on this platform
I am more confused now than before. I do not want to spend money If I do not have to. Can you please advise me?
You do have to purchase something to unlock the other schools. Most of them will open up if you purchase the PHB, but you'll be missing the War Magic and Bladesinging Traditions.

The evocation school is the only free wizard subclass. You can unlock more by buying books (PHB or XGtE) or you can buy just the subclasses from those books (D&D is a comercial product after all).
Alternatively, if someone else in the campaign already has bought books, those books can be shared if someone in the campaign has a master sub to enable content sharing (subs do not unlock content, they unlock tools).
If you don't want to spend money on the site, there are really 2 options I know of. However, I will address your points in order.
1) I'm curious where you saw something about this being a Beta until August 15th - DDB hasn't been in beta, at least for PHB stuff, for quite some time. I would probably double check the year of that particular post.
2) You are able to buy certain classes/subclasses within the PHB/XGtE/SCAG for a much lower price than buying the complete digital book. You can go to the Marketplace and open up by the buying options for the appropriate book and scroll down, you should see the individual options you can purchase for a much lower amount.
3) Buying a subscription does not unlock any content. Instead, it just gets rid of adds, increases the number of characters you can generate, and the master tier allows you to share your purchased content with others. As was mentioned, you can join the campaign of someone who has purchased the aforementioned content and has a Master Tier subscription and has turned on content sharing in that campaign. You can then create a character in that campaign. This requires someone else to send you a link to join their campaign.
4) All content published by WotC, afaik, is available on DDB digitally. It just needs to be purchased if it's not part of the Basic Rules, which are free.
If you don't like those options, and you already own the physical books, you can manually enter the school(s) you'd like into the homebrew.
Understand that DDB is NOT WotC - they are not the same company. You aren't going to get any sort of discount on this digital content if you have the physical books. Just like you wouldn't get a discount on buying an ebook for your kindle after buying the physical book from Barnes & Noble. There are very long threads about this very topic.

I would just like to clarify that if someone (anyone) in a Campaign has a Master tier subscription and turns Content Sharing on - all books from everyonein the campaign will be shared to everyone in that campaign - not just the Master tier subscriber's books.

Oh yeah! Thanks for the clarification. My bad!

I am unfamiliar with the on site character sheets, but you can probably do a "custom" class and manually add details for the subclass you want.
