How does concentration work in regards to wands? for example the polymorph spell requires concentration, does using the wand of polymorph also require concentration when used? For example, say I turn myself into a dinosaur with the wand of polymorh, do i have to make con saves each time I take damage?

Hell yeah I am going to Polymorph the boss into a Rabbit. I have always wanted a being a pure evil stuffed into a ball of fluff.
"But I believe that you cannot target yourself with a wand." - filcat
Can someone back this up?
I didn't find anything to back what I said. But thinking as a DM, it would be too good to transform yourself into a dinosaur without concentration. Also, all the wands I red of are offensive in nature or are for detecting something.
You can cast spells on yourself (unless the wand's descriptions says otherwise). Also you must concentrate if the spell normally requires concentration (page 141 of the DMG "Activating an Item > Spells")
“It is a better world. A place where we are responsible for our actions, where we can be kind to one another because we want to and because it is the right thing to do instead of being frightened into behaving by the threat of divine punishment.” ― Oramis, Eldest by Christopher Paolini.
Yeah the text is "... While holding it, you can use an action to expend 1 of its charges to cast the polymorph spell (save DC 15) from it ..." You're still casting the spell and all the standard rules apply - it just doesn't require you to know the spell or spend a slot.

Yes, I stand corrected. It requires concentration and target are the same as the spell.
