I had my terrifying first encounter against Bigby's Hand. I have a couple questions I can't scratch quite right.
"It moves at your command, mimicking the movements of your own hand."
Makes sense the caster would use their snakegloved hand to make it's effects happen. Like if the caster want to grapple and squeeze, they will hold their hand as a fist, or a pinch, and actually make squeezing motions when they want to squeeze. Clenched fist would be the motion of a punch, interposing like a crossing guard holding out a palm...
You probably know what I'm getting at. What does the hand do when you cast another spell with a somatic component? Say a fireball, somatic and material, are they double handing this stuff like dual wielders, or do they drop the big hand's grapple/blockade because it's a dominant hand sort of thing?
Also, understanding the effects listed as suggested uses, is palming yourself for a 60ft fly speed possible? Just flying and popping off Ray's of frost with the other hand?
Aaand "The hand doesn't fill it's space." What the heck does that mean? Does it just clarify that it can be squeezed by with enough strength in a tight space while the usual unfriendly creature would have to be removed/incapacitated before it's space could be passed?
The continued Somatics - it says it 'moves at your command' which means to me that it will only move if you will it to. So you can use the same hand to do other spells just fine.
Sitting on Bigby's Hand and flying is something I've seen done on CR. Recently with Caleb and in campaign 1 with Scanlan. It's got a Strength of 26 so it's more than capable of carrying most adventurers. Now - whether it can perform one of it's actions with a character still sitting on it is another matter you might want to consider.
With 'The hand doesn't fill it's space' - I'm guessing - just means other creatures can move into and through it's space without issue. (Unless Interposing Hand has been used).

Thanks for the outlet. What's your take on it?
