Yes. It is called bag of holding. The opening is 2 feet diameter (some cramming required), but the interior is 4x4x4 and can hold 500 lb. There are even rules for how much air there is.
I've combined a Bag of Holding with Polymorph to be able to carry someone around in it for extended periods of time. Just Polymorph them into something that can hold its breath a long time (such as a turtle), pop them in the bag and you've got about an hour to get them in or out of whatever situation you find yourself in.
Back in the day there were air spores that you could toss in your bag of holding that would just generate more air if you were inclined to use your back as a bounty-hunter's transport device.

Closer. I don't think feign death removes the need to breathe, though, but it's vaguely worded enough that I suppose that probably wouldn't be an issue. Still though he seems to be interested in this as a trap of some kind. Feign death works if you're using it to carry an ally in the bag, but an unwilling target is totally immune.
Is there a version of Bag of Holding, or something like it that a creature can use to kidnap people or other living things for transport?

I suppose Leomund's Secret Chest could do it, though it probably runs into the same air problem that bags of holding do.
There's an Iron Flask, though that only works if the target isn't on its home plane.

Is there some type of hold person spell that might put someone in a form of stasis while in a bag? I suppose I could home brew one

Well, there's always Flesh to Stone... the weight might be an issue but if you're not carrying too much other stuff in your bag it should be fine.

Sleep?
I think he means something where they won't just suffocate to death if you leave them in there for a couple hours.

In that case, feign death?
