If you have a familiar due to the Find Familiar spell and then come across one you can bond with (such as a psuedodragon) would you be able to effectively have to familiars, or would you not be able to bond with the second one.
You can absolutely have multiple familiars this way. Only the one summoned by the spell is limited by the spell.
Additionally, the "familiar variant" creatures are not actually summoned by the spell (even pact of chain). Those variants are only intended to work with the real creature.
Honestly, if your DM is masochistic enough, there's nothing preventing you from having all the pseudo dragon non-summoned familiars they're willing to let you have.

Also if you are masochistic enough. They have less than 10 hp and can't be conveniently resummoned.
Familiars that aren't tied to the spell are essentially like intelligent magic items and allowing you to have one (or 5) is entirely up to DM discretion. As DxJxC mentioned they have few hit points and can't be resummoned when they die. They are also following you at their discretion and will leave you when they get bored.
