For a core set, that's just fine. The other books are either adventures, or setting based.
The settings one are ok if you aren't comfortable with world building, and some of them add interesting subclasses and backgrounds and perhaps races. None them are required to play the game, although folks will want to mix and match their favorite stuff to make a character. If you have your heart playing in a particular setting, buy that book.
Adventures are simply that; adventures. They certainly can get your game rolling with a lower time commitment than doing everything from scratch. None are necessary; the setting ones have more utility for a DM by comparison.
Eberron Rising from the last war is good if you need info on the artificer class, and Mortenkainens Tome of Foes is useful for higher level campaigns with a lot of plane shifting as it fleshes out a lot of creatures and lore on the inner and outer planes. Those would be my “2nd tier” set, followed by any other setting book you might be interested in

I've started a list of D&D books I would like to own. I am avid DM and player for 5e though I lean towards DM. Currently, the list includes:
Does this list need any other books? If you wouldn't mind, please leave a reason for buying the book or a brief list of features it contains.
(Also, I know all of this information is online, I would just prefer to have physical copies)
