So i wanted to ask is it possible and if so would swinging it deal dmg to both it and what your hitting with it?
My idea of how this would even happen is you successfully grapple the target (which is of either same size or smaller than you), target fails to break free, then make a swing with disadvantage.
Alright last question is it possible to grapple multiple opponents at the same time?
Last question first. Assuming you have two arms you can grapple two targets.
I have had exactly what you're asking come up in one of my games. My answer was yes. You can use a grappled creature as an improvised weapon and, yes, both the target and the grappled thing you're swinging at it would take damage. With that said. There were actions spent to make that happened. Obviously the original grapple action, the roll for the grappled to break free on their action (which failed), then an attack with the grappled as the improvised weapon.

That's what happens when you wear a helmet your whole life!
