If a target is under the effects of Elemental Bane and then gets subjected to a spell or effect that deals the correct damage type and has a save for half damage, the extra 2d6 damage applies after the saving throw, right? So if I use Elemental Bane (Lightning) on an enemy and then use Chain Lightning the next round, they take 10d8 with a Dex save for half, then 2d6?

Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
