Not sure if this is under Rules & Mechanics or Fighter specifically.
I’ve got a question regarding the Echo Knight’s Action Economy and heard from somewhere that Echo Knights are good Nova damages without any buffs like Haste.
So I’m a level 20 Fighter, Echo Knight and i attack a single creature.
4 Attacks>Action Surge>Unleash Incarnation>Bonus Action: Great Weapon Master/Polearm Master/Two-Weapon/or whatever ba that the fighter can do.
If my maths is correct, in total I can make 7 attacks in total on a single creature?
Level 20 fighter gets 4 attacks. Action surge take it to 8. Unleash incarnation to 9, and if there’s a bonus action attack from a feat they gets you to 10.
An echo knight can make 10 attacks (11 if you started combat with your echo manifested), because you can use Unleash Incarnation once per attack action, not once per turn, so if you use Action Surge to take the Attack action twice, that's 10 attacks.
Despite which, a battle master probably has higher nova potential, depending a bit on your weapon and opponent. For a great weapon fighter using a +3 greatsword, your normal attack is +14/16.3, or +9/26.3 with great weapon mastery. Against an AC 20 target, your normal 8 attacks (4 base, +4 action surge) is expected to get 5.6 hits for 91 damage normally, 4 hits for 105 damage with great weapon mastery, and echo knight adds up to 26 on average. A battle master using 4 superiority dice will typically do 4d12 bonus damage (average +26) but is also applying up to 4 status effects (if the target is susceptible, Trip attack is very worthwhile (it probably gets you at least one extra hit this turn), and once he's down maybe a Distracting Strike or Menacing Strike. Plus you still have two dice left.

So It's Attackx4>Action Surgex4>Unleash Incarnation>BA Echo/Feat = Total of 10+1
Sorry this is my first time trying out a high level echo knight and just trying to make sure of my math. Yes I'm using a Greatsword + Great Weapon Mastery Feat

Actually it’s higher.

Good point. It would be 11 attacks.
