I was wondering if I could get a clarification on the metamagic Extended spell. Could I put more than one sorcery point into this? so if I have a spell that lasts 1 minute and I put 6 points into it, it could last for 64 minutes in theory. The rules specify that you could only have 1 metamagic option per spell, but it doesn't specify that you can't keep doubling it till its max of 24 hours. It would still be the same metamagic option right? I have not thought of if this is broken or not, the hope was to be able to cast gust of wind to fill the sails of a ship. I have the description of the metamagic below.
Extended Spell
When you cast a spell that has a duration of 1 minute or longer, you can spend 1 sorcery point to double its duration, to a maximum duration of 24 hours.
Let me know if this is against the rules I may have missed. If you think its just up to the DM, I'm all for that, I really was just looking for clarification as the details are a bit lacking on this matter.(From what I could find)

You cannot spend more points to further increase the duration. 1 and done.
