Is the bite attack included in the swallow attack is part of the same action? Or does it take two actions, biting and swallowing?
I know it should bite before swallow, but the swallow attack says "If the attack hits, that creature takes the bite's damage and is swallowed, and the grapple ends."
In order to do the Swallow action, it has make a bite attack against a creature it's already grappling. This would most likely have been accomplished via the listed Bite action on a previous turn, which auto-grapples if it hits. So under normal circumstances it'd be:
Turn 1: performs Bite action, hits with the attack, does bite damage and grapples the target
Turn 2: If that target is still grappled, performs Swallow action, hits with the attack, does bite damage and swallows the target
In order to do the Swallow action, it has make a bite attack against a creature it's already grappling. This would most likely have been accomplished via the listed Bite action on a previous turn, which auto-grapples if it hits. So under normal circumstances it'd be:

For monsters, you can perform one of the things listed under the "Actions" section per turn.
(Note that some monster have "Multiattack" as one of the listed actions, which describes which other things listed under actions they can perform more than once as part of that "multiattack" action.)

Just generally confused about the swallow attack

1) Round 1->Remorhaz bites(grapples)->Round 2->Remorhaz swallows
2) Round 1->Remorhaz Bites->Round 2->Remorhaz bites and swallows
