Kobold Player Race?

Ok. I have MOTM and VGTM but cannot find it what do I do?

Is there a fix, besides Homebrewing? I just spent another 38$ on a book I THOUGHT contained alot more species.... ARGH!!!!!!

Can you be more specific about what the problem is? Which book did you purchase and what is missing?

It's 2026, and I have searched through every option for character species for months, trying to find kobolds under dragons, Volo, Monster of the Multiverse, Tasha, and even the homebrew stuff.  I cannot find kobolds.  I'm about to just build it custom, but I know that it won't function quite the same as my legacy kobold.  Why does it keep getting moved?  Why remove kobolds?

I can go to rules->species, enter "kobold" into the search box, and see both. 

Do you own either Volo's or Monsters of the Multiverse, or were they shared with you in the past, but aren't anymore?

If you can see them in the species page, but not in the character builder, then they're presumably being shared with you, but you're not building the character in the campaign where they're being shared, or you don't have the right sources enabled in the builder. (5e expanded, and legacy/noncore)

And, of course, check your entitlements

As jl8e said, in order to actually use them you'd need to either own one of those books or have access through content sharing.
