I would say no. Not sure if all say this, but wand of magic missiles does, that you must be holding the wand which defeats the purpose of animating it.
plus, I think it’s a bonus action to use and an animated object gets an action not a bonus action
The real question is: Can your animated objects wield magic items, if you animated something with hands, such as creepy porcelain dolls.
From what I can see... as long as it doesn't require attunement or have other stat-based requirements (like requiring an intelligence above 3), there's nothing preventing an Animated Object from using a magic item. Many creatures will list what specific actions they're capable of performing or what orders you're capable of giving them... but Animated Objects can basically just do any action the object would be physically capable of performing.
If you cast animate object on a wand or rod, can you then use your bonus actions to command the wand/rod to use a charge as an attack?
