How would Magical Resistance work VS the Death Domain Cleric ability Inescapable Destruction ?
Starting at 6th level, your ability to channel negative energy becomes more potent. Necrotic damage dealt by your cleric spells and Channel Divinity options ignores resistance to necrotic damage.
Now would Magical Resistance work against an ability that specifically ignore resistances against it?
By "magical resistance" do you mean having advantage on saves (like magic resistance race/monster trait), having resistance to damage from spells (like ancients paladin), or having resistance to necrotic damage?
Because inescapable destruction only specifically ignores the last one.
So any spell, or harmful effect that has the word "magical" in it, is to be considered for the Magical Resistance trait. If the effect falls into one of those two categories, the Entity has advantage on the saving throw.
Needless to say, if no saving throw is involved, this trait doesn't matter. However the Entity with Magical Resistance isn't resistant to necrotic damage.
He will have advantage on the save but take the full Necrotic Damage damage on a failed Saving Throw.

Correct on all counts.

Which would take priority?

Yes Magical Resistance I.E.
Magic Resistance. You have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
I was wondering if the generalization of Magic Resistance would take effect if a Necrotic Spell was used by the Cleric with Inescapable Destruction.
No. It only ignores necrotic damage resistance (resistance that specifically halves necrotic damage).
