I have a lot! Most of my characters in and out of D&D are inspired by songs.
There's Chime the Kenku Monk & Warlock, whose appearance and personality is based off of The Clash.
There's Cadence the Tiefling Bard, who was mysteriously thrown out a noble's window as a baby and caught by a passing bard, who taught her to play the tambourine and dance. She has a tendancy to lie and steal, but cares for her friends and almost never kills. She wields a silver warhammer. (She Came In Through The Bathroom Window - The Beatles)
And there's a Human Phoenix Sorcerer named Rio whose backstory was inspired by the song Fire Coming Out of the Monkey's Head by Gorillaz (it sounds silly but it's actually really good and chilling, go listen to it)
For me, it's a good jumping off point to come up with a character to develop when I'm low on ideas (which has been most of the time recently)

If your DM defends the DM vs Players mindset get outta there fast. My advice as someone with a bad history with this game o7 it gets better.
I love 5e monster & planar lore almost as much as I love complaining about it
A majority of Rogues I've watched seem to be based on The Barber of Seville, Act I, Figaro's "aria" (if you could call it that), Largo al factotum.
Summary for those, like me, are a little averse to opera: "I'm the best and everyone wants me," but stated in a very flamboyant way for 5 minutes.
It used to be Bards who were like that, but I none of the streams I watch have such a Bard - mostly good-natured Bards if a little naïve.

Human. Male. Possibly. Don't be a divider. My characters' backgrounds are written like instruction manuals rather than stories. My opinion and preferences don't mean you're wrong. I am 99.7603% convinced that the digital dice are messing with me. I roll high when nobody's looking and low when anyone else can see.🎲 “It's a bit early to be thinking about an epitaph. No?” will be my epitaph.
“Walking On Water” by Jorn Lande would make a sweet Dhampir Undead Warlock or Grave Cleric.
”Hail to the King” by Avenged Sevenfold for a Conquest Paladin.
”Shot in the Dark” by Jeff Scott Soto for an Assassin Rogue.
”Strength of the World” by Avenged Sevenfold for a Vengeance Paladin.
