So, I had this general idea as to a badass fantasy fort.
So basically its design is a Mt Rushmore style head carved into the side of a cliff face. The face's arm comes out of the cliff so that the carved face is peering into a fort that sits cupped in the palm of it's right hand. From the entrance way of the fort a huge set of stairs travel down the forearm, then up the bicep with a doorway in the shoulder which fades into the cliff. The cliffs have an ant farm like series of tunnels cut into them. This would work as an easily defended link from the fort to the ground.
The fort would have protection provided by the fingers, thumb, and the face that surround it on three sides. The entire fort itself is in a greatly elevated point for seeing any and all dangers that might present themselves. Additionally there's one way in and out (The stairs) that is an easily defensible choke point.
I am having some difficulty understand the access too the fort, though. Can you get to the fort any other way than approaching down the "arm path"? If not, then the fort isn't really a fort, it is a vault. You would have to negotiate the fort, which are the tunnels and passageways in the cliff, to get to that vault.

What do yall think about this fort concept?
It sounds like D&D to me.

That sounds like a very unique and fun concept. Getting to and from the fort would be a pain in the butt, though.
