Prologue From beyond the now unassuming town of Phandalin ventures a band of intrepid adventurers, a series of unfamiliar faces to the folk still residing within the humble mining settlement. Some seem eager to assist the efforts of the local villagers and help those in need in their endeavours — others less so in search of their own goals to guide them from their wayward path. They seem like an unlikely group of allies to the working settlers as they gradually pass through Phandalin, though no whispers of admonishment are apparent among the townspeople who cannot afford to be beggars during such a fragile situation that has arrived in the mountains.
Phandalin’s local lodging is quick to become the axis of activity after the adventurers’ arrival. Stonehill Inn, offering hot meals and jovial music by local performers, is turned upside down without warning as mysterious cloaks of red proceed in their usual terrorizing of the inn’s employees and its patrons. However, tonight branches off from its typical series of events. Blades are brandished and tables are toppled as the adventurers overwhelm the red-cloaked fiends much to the innkeeper’s delight. An incapacitated and lucky ruffian is interrogated under gruesome conditions until the path forward is revealed to be one of a recognizable red.
The smell of decomposition and burnt flesh surrounds an off-putting manor outside of Phandalin where an unsightly monster seems to create more confusing questions among the adventurers whose suddenly afflicted minds become clearer after slaying the beast. There are only so many doors within the decrepit estate, and those doors will not open themselves to adventurers afraid of the dark…
Chapter 1 Beginner’s Luck After journeying back to Stonehill Inn, the party learns that the lieutenant of the Red Cloaks, Spider, has absconded from Phandalin via Styx’s prisoner, joyous news for the villagers. Joyous enough that they have piqued the interest of a local dwarf, Ruby, who hopes the newest mercenaries might aid them in their current troubles. A goblin patrol donning yellow bandanas has been presumed missing with fingers pointed in the orcs’ direction, a distressing revelation for Brynnas Blackstream. and none would be better suited for the matter at hand. With the promise of a hefty payment by Townmaster Harbin Wester, the party departs from Phandalin to Umbrage Hill for a price haggled by the charismatic Hairold. One word association game later, the path ahead becomes obscured with steam. The party stumbles upon a shepherd unfortunately incapacitated by ice by what he claims was a large winged creature that pilfered his sheep. After the shepherd is freed, payment of potions and his cheese sandwich is accepted. the party heeds the shepherd’s warning and continues down the trail until they stumble upon an abandoned compound, housing a particularly emaciated manticore surrounded by corpses reminiscent of goblins... In Persephonie’s attempt to soothe the starving beast and save Adabra Gwynn, the party notices another group of goblins decorated in a familiar yellow hiding atop the hill nearby before the manticore makes a swift attack. The party and goblins viciously destroy the manticore in a series of bladed strikes and poorly-aimed fire by Scully, making quick work of butchering the creature before turning in for the evening at Adabra’s guidance. However, as the party sleeps, Brynnas and Lottie are alerted by the appearance of humanoid figures. Discerned as orcs, the party rubs the sleep from their eyes and jumps into action, dispatching the orcs as promptly as they arrive. The wild Voracity reaps the fallen orcs of their ears as Lottie and Lori question an orc as to its goal, only to learn of their barbaric and indiscriminate terror. With the promise of delivering a package to Barthen’s Provisions for Adabra, the party returns to Phandalin with a promising number of orc ears to bring to Harbin Wester and an honouring salute from the Phandalin goblins to Brynnas who are enthusiastic about showing him their appreciation for his valiant effort.
Chapter 1.5
Search Party
The local tavern has slowly become a consistent haunt for the adventurers, a source of warm food and entertainment by their bard. a lovely atmosphere on a seemingly dull day thus far. While Scully and Styx have made their way into town with the goal of pawning off the manticore head and hide to an interested trader, the rest of the party spend their winnings on a well-earned meal, but not before the tavern doors burst open and reveal a nervous-looking goblin who quickly captures the adventurers’ attention, though he is strangely focused on Brynnas. After the fighter calls him over, the goblin stumbles over himself as he pleads for their help, desperate for assistance. The goblin, aptly named Two Eyes, along with his partners, Kissy and Sammy, explains that the rest of the platoon they belonged to has gone missing since being attacked in Neverwinter Wood three days prior, including their captain, O’sama. After Brynnas discovers that psionic magic was used on the goblins, the party agrees to help out for a fee of their rocks and chicken by Voracity and Hairold and they depart for Neverwinter Wood. As the trees grow thicker the closer they get to the mountains, the party becomes reliant on their fellow elf, Lottie, to track the missing platoon members. Her cunning tracking abilities lead the party in a circle before they stop and take a short rest to evaluate their surroundings. It takes some time, but eventually, Lottie rediscovers the trail and beckons the adventurers further into the forest. The party reaches a small clearing but is silenced by the presence of other creatures that the pair of elves are alerted to. A man tied to a dark obelisk harbouring a depiction of some giantess as a statue is seen surrounded by unfamiliar goblins who are quickly attacked by the party. Brynnas understands the source of the psionic magic as goblins incapacitate Lottie and Voracity momentarily with a particularly upsetting bout of mental anguish. However, the attacking goblins are eviscerated and the captain, O,Sama, is freed from his capture. He explains that his squadron was ambushed while excavating beyond Phandalin by orcs, who he learned had been indiscriminately apprehending goblins since without another reason as Persephonie takes his cigar as a small reward for their troubles. Thankful for his safe rescue, the captain promises the adventurers a much more considerable reward as they venture back to Stonehill Inn for another meal paid in one of the finer currencies.
Session/Chapter 2: Chapter 2
A Temple of Treasures
The typical breakfast routine for the adventurers at Stonehill Inn is abruptly stalled by a Halia Thornton, Phandalin’s mine exchange guild master. There’s no beating around the bush as she commissions the party for the important task of informing the dwarves at the excavation site about the mysterious white dragon. Hairold entrepreneurs himself a share in the mine’s profits before the party embarks on their next objective towards the canyon. The party hardly pays any attention to a group of humanoid creatures, orc-ish in stature, taking off towards the east as the wild tiefling flings rocks every which way and the others mull over their dinner options until they reach the excavation site. An ancient village now left in piles of rubble, the adventurers explore the area with scrutiny, but not as closely as Lottie who discovers herself a wand amidst the earth and stashes it. Brynnas alerts the party to the unnerving fact that the stone temple they have arrived at belongs to the evil dwarven god of greed, Abbathor, but the arguing dwarves nearby seem to be unshaken by this fact. Norbus and Dazlyn are even less shaken by the news of the white dragon and instead ask the party to help them clear out the temple with a share in treasure and a pair of sending stones that the party agrees on. An evil god’s temple speaks for itself. It isn’t long before the adventurers enter the altar room and a fight ensues against gelatinous masses oozing from pillars in the room and falling from the scaffolding. Lottie’s attunement to her new wand proves useful only for a brief moment before it fizzles out, its power exhausted after nearly setting Scully on fire which the jellies were seemingly trying to consume after falling on him. The party eventually clears the altar room now that the jellies have been snacked on by the resident rogue, a fact distracting enough for Lottie to gather the gems and elegant ring that has been discovered in the broken pillar. Secret doors are uncovered as the party splits up to investigate, finding winding corridors and strange treasures within old passageways. A large statue of abbathor holding a large emerald is discovered in the final room. Although the dwarves check closely for traps, they are double-dared to take the gem right before being blown to pieces by an unexpected explosion. Although Styx and Scully manage to heal the dwarves before they perish, the group decides to rest before the mission becomes fatal…
Session 2 Recap The mighty 7 (or is it "The Farel Seven" or "Mighty 6 and 1 Stoner") sat at their usually places for breakfast at the Stonehill Inn feeling good about them selves. After all they just had heroically saved a Goblin Commander, who is human named O'Soma, and made a ton of gold and some all mostly cooked chicken in the process. Of course, Ruby was there with new Jobs and banking their gold (but not the chicken) when in strode through the Inn doors Hilia Thornton from the Mine Exchange. Thornton is one to give airs about her and was not shy to insist they take the job to inform the Dwarfs at an Excavation site about the Dragon. She will pay extra on top of the job amount if the Seven make it their next priority. This was not good enough for Hairold who lobbied for 5% of the possible mine that may start up after the site was excavated by the Dwarfs. Thornton agreed and the Seven took the job starting that very moment. Most of the day was travelling to the Site. The Fall Day was enjoyable and only mildly interrupted around noon by a group of Orcs, or the Seven believe them to be Orcs, running off scared to the East. Pursuit seems futile. With thoughts of dinner hanging in the air the arrival at the excavation site is timely. The site is nestled into the base of the mountain, and all is quiet. Rubble piles are abundant from all the clearing revealing the building base structures through out the site of a ancient village. Making the odd call out for the Dwarfs and inspecting the village runes, Lottie finds a wonderful treasure. It’s a wand and her immediately tries to attune to it. Slowly the Seven make it to the back of the village where they find the remands of a large stone wall. The other side of the wall reveals a stone temple and Blackstream immediately recognizes it as a temple to the evil Dwarvin God Abathor. He makes this known to all and while doing so behind one of three large rubble piles two Dwarfs, Dazlyn and Norbus, are found arguing about something. The Seven interrupt the arguing to inform them of the dangers of a Dragon. It is at this time Lottie finally attunes to her wand and scares the shit out of everyone with a sudden burst of Pyrotechnics with her new toy. Dazlyn and Norbus thank the Seven for the warning but decide that does not change things for them and offer the Seven a job instead. While clearing out the temple they were interrupted and scared out of the alter room by what they called Jellies. They fell it would be worth the expanse to hire the seven to clear out the Jellies for equal share in any treasure found and two sending stones they have as payment. The Seven agree. Into the Temple and down the hall to the Alter Room and the Jellies are found. The fight begins and a lot of shit happens. Lottie was excited to use her wand on a Jelly only to find it ran out the last charge of the day was wasted moments earlier in the hallway when she scared and burned Skully with it. The rest of the Seven begun their attacks and pairing up to make flanking maneuvers. The battle was going well when two more Jellies fell from the roof making it five, one of them falling right on top of Skully. Well this was upsetting, Skully could feel the digestive juices burning into him and all the spores he been growing around him were instantly digested by the Jelly. Blackstream was hurting and Skully used his best healing to help him. Hurt with a Jelly clinging to him Skully was in a real pickle…..Mumm pickles. Styx and Voracity come to the rescue of sad Skully who spends the rest of the fight morning his spore friends. It was tough but, in the end, the Seven Preval over the five jellies and Voracity begins to taste them looking for the most favorable one before dinning on it. Constant thoughts of her dinner burning her run though her feral mind. Dazlyn and Norbus are delighted and find they would like to have the Seven stay on with them to complete the Temple clean up, seeing that it is close to done. They agree with the promise to split the findings. Skully finds the Dazlyn and Norbus conversation is just what he needs after his loss and keeps them busy with questions while Lottie and Voracity hoard as much treasure onto their persons during the distraction. Not that the noise as they walked about was any clue to their sneaky attempts to gain the upper hand. Finally, the last room was found, and the big prize exposed in the form of a statue of Abathor holding an excessively big emerald in its hand. Everyone gathered around as Dazlyn and Norbus searched it for traps. In the background Voracity double dared them to take the emerald with Lottie backing up her push. Dazlyn caves and takes the Emerald from the statues hand and Blows himself and Dazlyn to death. The rest of the Seven are yelling and screaming while the chunks of emerald and Statue tare into them. As the dust settles a quick-thinking Styx gets help to bring back and stabilize Dazlyn and Norbus, he and Skully quickly heal the Dwarves before they are lost forever. It was then decided that they all would rest at once before they did something really stupid and lost the ones they came to warn for real.
Chapter 3 Bugs The exploding emerald trap had caught everyone by surprise, but some quick thinking, and quicker healing left the Feral Seven and the two dwarf companions unscathed. Persephony and Animal decided to hang out with the dwarves for a while longer, curious about the temple, and still reeling from the migraine caused by the explosion. The rest of the party headed back to town to collect on party’s recent success. The bag of jingling gems on Lotties person seeming inconsequential to the dwarves as she sneakily hid them away. On the way back to Phandalin, a group of Orcs stopped the party. As they seemed non-threatening, no weapons were drawn, and a peaceful chat quickly turned into a beneficial meeting of the minds as the champion, Brynnas, was feared and respected by the Orcs. It became very apparent just how much of a scourge this “White Snake” was, to the whole area surrounding Phandalin, all the way from the mountains, to the forest. Gameshi (also known as Kimchi) of the Broken Arrow Federacy and Brynnas, Champion of the Feral Seven, quickly came to an agreement about the necessary steps to get rid of the wyrm and the opposing mercenary forces that plagued the land. A meeting in a ten-day will occur if the party of misfits decide to take on the dragon at a fortress in the mountains. In the mean time, a somewhat secondary quest to gather and slaughter/conform the leftover leaderless orc parties that had been scattered to the winds, was taking place. Phandalin proved lucrative, as the 5% stock in the dwarven mines already had lined the pockets of the Feral Seven upon showing up with the signed document from the dwarven lovers at the temple. With the word of success resounding in the ears of the local townsfolk, the Seven (though only 5 at the moment) already had jobs calling on them. Balding Barthon called upon the party to secure shipment for a client, the brother of Harbin Weston, at a logging camp in the woods of Neverwinter Forest. So the next day they would set off on a journey. Though this did not stop the Feral Seven from partying into the night. With the sick drumbeats of Hairold, everyone but Brynnas went way too hard, dancing into the early hours of the morning. As Brynnas was the only one who could muster any words the next day, the party set off after some brief shopping, barely able to contain the contents of their breakfast on the bumpy, ox driven, cart. Thankfully, Vincent the ox knew the way, as the cart drivers were out of commission. They learned quickly, that female elves cannot drive when hungover. At the entrance to the forest, where Vincent guided us, a large man wiped his blade on the tunic of a fallen orc. He quickly introduces himself as Falcon, as he recognized Vincent the ox. His hunters camp is our first stop, with a box of wine for him and his man servant (mainly him probably). The heads of orcs on his wall don’t phase Hairold too much, as he’s only a half orc, and Falcon doesn’t seem to have a problem with him, so that’s nice. Falcon tells tales of phantom shape-changing half-orcs on the woods, turning into large boars and the like, as if to foreshadow what’s to come. The next morning the Feral group heads off to the logging camp.
It’s not too long before the party comes across a large boar with a few other regular sized boars scattered around. Lottie and Scully quickly spy this as an irregular boar, but they’ve got places to be, and products to provide, so they press on. The large boar runs off into the woods, leaving large tracks for our druid and ranger to keep track of as they continue.
Making it easily to the camp without incident, the Feral group parked Vincent with the cart. The large boar tracks veer off into the woods, but the party deemed it necessary to explore the camp and investigate what could have possibly inspired the evacuation or execution of those who once resided here. No bodies, no fire, no sounds. The party decides not split the party and immediately go their own separate ways investigate what could have possibly occurred. While Brynnas explores a few tents, a clew of man sized praying mantis launch from the ground, and they meant business. Styx quickly runs in to help dispatch the big bugs and their acidic spews. Two charge in to try and take care of Lottie and Hairold, but prove incomparable to skilled bowmen-ship of Lottie and the discordant melodies of Hairolds drum, not before burning Hairolds face though. Gotta take one for the team. A recklessly tattooed and very dramatic looking half-orc runs in from the forest, discernibly the one who was previously transformed into a large boar, and takes on Scully in hand to hand combat. Styx and Brynnas, with some quick thinking and good use of sending stones, travel the distance to the barbaric half-orc in seconds in an attempt to dispatch him quickly. With the guidance of bolts, and an eruptive ice knife, the half-orc goes down, face frozen in shock and awe at the animalistic lengths Scully would go to, even hurting Brynnas, to defeat his enemies.
With the threat vanquished, Lottie finds a peculiar specimen in an old fire place. A totem that may have been the reason for the bizarre and aggressive actions of the typically docile praying mantis things. Deciding that its best that its destroyed, Scully sets it ablaze and the Seven move into the worn down household. There they find Harbin Westers brother, Tibor Wester. The smell of refuse and cowardice was almost overwhelming, a family trait it appears, to the Feral group but they managed to put Wester at ease and convinced him to come back with them to Falcons hunting lodge in a now caravan of carts, the shape-shifter half-orc loaded with the other belongings.
Session 4 recap/Chapter 4 Raw Frog Persephonie, Drizzly, and Nevon looked in horror at the sight that enveloped their vision. Animal had taken it upon herself to provide food for the small group, and she had decided on frog legs. She ripped and tore at the slimy skin of the dead frogs with malice and without forethought to have cooked them first. She preferred them this way, especially with a little ooze drizzled on top for extra juice. The other three could barely stomach it as they cooked their frog legs over the fire, like civilized folk. This would be the last night that Animal and Persephonie stayed with the old dwarf couple before heading back to town. Lottie, Brynnas, Hairold, and Styx were all that remained. Scully was tripping balls and had turned himself into an ox and refused to turn back. Persephonie and Voracity hadn’t yet returned from the evil dwarven temple, and even if they had, the rest of the party was deep in the woods. Styx had an odd feeling about him though, as if another god-like creature was controlling him, different from his usual deity. The trip to the logging camp was successful, and it was time to head back. The party decided to stop by Falcons Camp to show off their dead orc. With Scully Ox and a second cart, it was easy to bring Westers supplies with them as well to get him going on his way. The uneventful trip was almost eerie and the feral 7 wanted a bit of blood. But seeing the orc bodies laying around Falcon’s camp, it was almost a guarantee that blood would be spilled that night. Falcon had some intel about the orcs from one of the ones he left alive for a little while. The orcs were to take Butterskull Ranch, and they were also pushing into the forest. With time being of the essence, what was left of the feral 7 grabbed two horses from Falcon with the promise of returning them, and went on their way. Brynnas and Styx rode bareback together, it wasn’t gay. The two, small, muscular bodies were well balanced on the horses back as they bounced up and down with each stride of the horse. Again, not gay. A chill filled the air as the party departed from the forest, only to see an ogre, frozen solid in place as what must’ve been a recent dragon attack. This Frogre, as he would become known as, had a few items on him that would be of good use to the party. Some gold, and a special short sword. Conyberry Town was close, so the party headed there to maybe gain some knowledge of where this Butterskull Ranch was. Here they met a druid named Bobby Bill who shared his water, knowledge of the town, the ranch location, and even some horses that the feral 7 would come back for later. These horses had BAK branded on them, for Big Al Kahoon. With an inkling that some devious plots had already taken place with the ranch, the party continued with caution. The sounds of squealing pigs reached the parties ears as they reached the ranch. Orcs gleefully chased hogs in the field, the smell of burned buildings filled the air, and the sight of some presumably dead family members of BAK littered the front gates of the ranch. With the day coming to an end, the party waited for night to fall to make their move to save the rancher from Orcs, assuming he was still alive. The Orcs partied into the night, unaware of the very organized demise that was about to befall them. Two orcs in the kitchen, six in the dining room drinking, one big one downstairs. The feral and bloodthirsty 7 slowly and quietly made their way to the kitchen door. In a rush, they took down the two orcs loudly torturing the hog. With two down, they made a plan for the rest, only to be interrupted by a magic looking orc coming down from the second floor. Hairolds quick thinking put this lady orc mage into charm of Phantasmal Force, making her believe that no one else was in the room. A surprise attack quickly bludgeoned her to death. With the other orcs being loud in the other room, Hairold was easily able to make out the orcish names for a few and called them into the room. Little did they know, a trap was set and their deaths were swift and brutal with a lethality that only Styx, Brynnas and Lottie could pull off in such a short time. The orcs even attacked each other for reasons only known to Hairold. It was time to save Big Al from the chief in the basement. Brynnas took the initiative and went down first to find the Orc chief ready to take of Als head. Some quick thinking and Brynnas negotiated a peace between our party and Goomer (and whatever tribe he had left). Chief of no one, Goomer, gave information about a secret mansion that the chiefless orcs resided at with his new halforc leader “Grannoc”. Grannoc who wanted this area to be his new home was planning to take out Falcon with his new found orc allies. Betraying Grannoc, Goomer made a promised to join the fight against the dragon in exchange for being freed and would meet the Feral 7 at the specified location in a five days time.
Saving Big Al wasn't enough, he also asked that the powerful 7 find his cow, so that may happen, but time is getting short before the time comes to try and dispatch a dragon, and there’s also that mansion to find. In the meantime the lethal 7 or Feral 7, seems like they are both now, would head to Falcon to warn him. Chapter 5 Battle of Falcon’s Lodge
With the anticipated fate of battling with the large dragon that has been terrorizing the region looming in the near future, the Untamed Seven, as they have been locally deemed, focus once more on their current commission to protect Falcon’s Lodge. It would not be too long before the wild orcs Falcon refrained from killing would take power over the ranch adorned by towers, and there were none other that could dispatch the orcs as swiftly as it was necessary. The party had become somewhat of an infamous legend as of late. Despite the massacre of orcs that had happened previously which led to the party being able to save Big Al, the remaining orcs still seemed intent on taking over Falcon’s Lodge for themselves in order to grow their numbers. From a tall tower reinforcing the wall of the ranch’s gate, a cry is heard by the party that has arrived to prevent an orcish takeover. In the guard tower, the lookout on shift alerts the seven to a stirring of dust in the distance. The shapes of boars and obvious worshipers quickly become apparent. One of the boars is much larger than the others, revealed to be Gorthok the Thunder Boar, and is accompanied by Talos orc acolytes. The party quickly squares up. Brynnas is eager to brace forward in the heat of battle, but in his vigour, he quickly takes the brunt of the initial attack and falls to the gate. The cleric Styx revives the battle master with a calculated stroke of his beard that magically remedies Brynnas. Failing to remember to shelter from the ranged bow slots in the wall, Persephonie and Voracity are shot at with javelins by orcs but only Voracity takes a significant amount of damage which needs to be healed once again. Lottie proves to be the smartest out of the three. The javelin piercing her is yoinked by Hairold who throws it back in good faith. Scully rains his mushroom magic down on the remaining boars and orcs. In merely half a minute, the battle is over. Falcon arrives and is overjoyed from the protection of his home by the adventurers. witnessing the post-battle state of the lodge. He eyes the shortsword Brynnas produced from the wasted orcs and identifies it as the Immovable shortsword but not without ensuring payment in treasures of mithril chainmail, elven boots, a cloak of billowing, a pouch of dust for Ruby, and two more riding horses once the party returns to Falcon’s Lodge. They will surely come in handy as the battle with the dragon in the mountains draws near.
Chapter 6 Performance and Havoc
A lengthy traverse through the forest leads the party higher towards the mountain peak. They are quickly hushed by the wood elves who have sharper senses than the others as Persephonie and Lottie scope out the area ahead. A fortress stands beyond the treeline surrounded by stone walls and boars feasting on the pumpkin patches enveloping the opening. The source of the angry voices the wood elves stopped the party for is revealed to be a dragon and several acolyte-garbed figures, one figure frozen in place in front of the large white dragon. The dragon gives what isn’t even considered a warning to the acolytes before lopping the frozen figure’s head off. Spotting the party quickly after, it orders the swift dispatching of the adventurers. At the same time, Scully runs off to investigate the fortress from a hidden spot, only drawing lots of minimal attention.
As Voracity immediately takes to sharing a pumpkin with a nearby boar after noticing its transformative effects, Styx and Hairold concoct a plan to cast Guidance on Hairold by crawling to the half-orc in the grass to deceive the orcs and dragon as a distraction for Bane, which thankfully works. Lottie and Persephonie breathe a sigh of relief from the treeline until curling smoke begins to rise around the dragon’s mouth. Nearly five helpings later, voracity senses the incoming attack and expertly deduces her next move to be jumping through the fortress’ window without warning. None might believe Scully if he announced that he saw the tiefling from the other room discover a dancing stick cult and dance in a circle with them as the battle continued outside. Persephonie, Lottie, Brynnas, and Hairold attack the dragon until it flies away, which Brynnas is thankful for after nearly taking friendly fire from the elves. A dropped key is picked up from the grass, most likely from the dragon as it departed. The remaining acolyte is interrogated briefly until Hairold’s patience wears thin and he launches the other half-orc’s head across the clearing before the rest of the party approaches the fortress.
As Voracity uses the Wand of Secrets to uncover something hidden upstairs, Scully summons a tidal wave of water that floods the room and kills the dancing stick figures which voracity narrowly avoids as she escapes through another window. Then, he discovers a well with vines protruding from it where the stick figures are escaping from, quickly attempting to destroy it himself. However, the party from outside arrives and they destroy the haggard corpses expelling from the well and the vines themselves in an array of flames and arrows from Lottie and Persephonie, who joined Voracity upstairs while they uncovered several treasures of elven boots, mithril chainmail, and a book in elven the tiefling couldn’t read. As the discord alleviates, Scully is aware of the sudden lack of orcish noises from within the fortress, and the party decides to have a long rest before moving forward into the unknown…
Session 7 and 8 recap Hairold used his spell ‘sending’ to message Kimchi, and things seemed dire with their plans to meet up in the mountain pass. With this knowledge, the Furry-ous 7 made haste to get to the Orcs aid as soon as possible. At the bottom of the mountain, a few Frogres and Frorcs stood statuesque, a sure sign of the carnage that had most likely taken during the extra few days that it took them to try and meet up with their orcish compatriots. Styx had left for his ‘dream mission’ or some such nonsense. Hopefully he’d be back for the main event. Human and Orc bodies and tracks littered the pathway going up the mountain. By all accounts, an ambush was set up by the humans and then rudely interrupted by the awaiting dragon. The Reavers were well equipped with silver gilded blades of superior quality to that of the orcs. As the raging party traversed up the mountain side, Hairold beat his drum in hopes of giving hope to any remaining orcs that help was on the way, hoping they weren’t too late. Persephonies keen primeval awareness could sense a dragon ahead, it wouldn't be too long before they would have to put an end to these lands frozen suffering. Despite Lotties berating, Hairold kept drumming, giving away their position to the red cloaked Reavers in the gate house. Brynnas took the bolts like a champ though. The party quickly ran by the exposed archer slits and found themselves an almost dead Kimchi. Kissy was trying to do her best to heal him, but to no avail, even the various healing spells weren’t quite enough to keep him from passing into orc heaven. Lottie and Hairold use a rope tied to a bow (classic) to get a rope over the bridge to eventually climb it. Upon some well-done perception checks, and even greater climbing checks, Animal expertly scales the stone wall up to an archer slit to surprise an old veteran who wasn’t so inclined to let Lottie and Hairold scale the bridge. A few sharp pokes sent the old man reeling, never to expose himself quite like that again. With Brynnas holding the rope, scaling the rope up to the bridge was a piece of the innkeeper Tobin’s famous meat pie. The party tied a door closed, and got ready to siege the gatehouse. The Reaver vets knew we were coming, but even they could not expect the ferocity in which Brynnas kicked in the door. Brynnas ran through, expelling the first Red Cloak that was unlucky enough to make eye contact with him. Voracity ran to finish off the old man that was silly enough to poke his head out while she had scaled the wall. Persephonie was determined to get a “coin purse”. Poor guy. Can’t imagine the trauma. Good thing he died. Lottie got herself backed into a corner but was able to expertly shoot herself out of it. The dude was a pin cushion by the end. Hairold considered this a tavern brawl and basically rear choke held a guy and whispered deadly sweet nothings in their ear till they died. Skully just called some eagles and sat back while they tanked the whole fight. Styx was still missing though. The fight probably took longer than it should’ve but that’s ok. With the Reavers dispatched, it Furry 7 were a bit tired and decided to have a rest before they went to take on a dragon. Piling the bodies on the bridge, they made a cozy home in leomunds tiny hut after exploring the gate house just a little bit to make sure they were safe. Meanwhile as the bodies were piling up at the Gate-House..... Alone and led by some divine sense Styx moves through the unbroken bush east of his companions who are going to the small stone fort on top of Icespire Peak. This annoys him but he can’t turn down a true calling. He is to track down this young white Dragon and finish her. Ilmater has demanded it on behalf of another. At least this other has given him a bird's insight into where to go, making it a job he could finish in the hopes of catching up to his friends for bigger glory, not that this is his driving force in life. It's been most of a day, but he now realizes that this is the clearing in his dreams just within Neverwinter Forest. She is here and hurt, Sheovien, younger sister to Cryovien. She faces Styx as if she knew he was coming “Do your worst you Dwarven shit!”.....This is what follows. Knowing she is wounded in the left rear just before the hind leg Styx quickly runs in hard and goes into a slide under Sheovien gain the initiative for this surprised her being so rash and immediate. Her opponents have been more calculating and slower to engage in the past. He reaches out a hand and touches the wound where Persephonie’s arrow is sticking out and casts inflicting wounds to this area. Sheovien thoughts burst with blinding white pain as she turns her head to look at her freshly opened wound, inhaling while doing so before releasing what is left of her ice breath. This gains her two pleasures, one her wound is sealed frozen and two Styxs receives extreme frost bite and is horribly injured as he slips from under her in the opposite direction. But as he slips out from under, he sees a large pouch strapped to her right front leg and lunges for it as he casts healing aurora about himself reversing most of the frost bite. Sheovien whips her head the other way to find him using her free claw to get at Styx when she feels him tugging at her pouch. This causes a rip into Styx’s side as the probing claw finds him and any advantage he may have had disappears. Desperate Styx uses what is left of his spiritual reserves and cast Inflicting wounds again while pressed against her and brings forth his spiritual hammer, the only reserve left to him. As luck would have it it was enough and thank Ilmater she was greatly hurt already because his options had just run out. With Sheovien Dead and the pouch his the rest is up to Styx to tell. It was a pleasant rest, the sunlight was starting to peak through the trees, the glow of sunlight on the snow-capped mountains was bright enough to light the fortress. It was a bit brisk, but that’s expected when there’s an adult ice dragon close by. All of a sudden, the sending stone in Lotties pack started to glow, and a dead ice dragon appeared on top of the tiny magic hut. Some parts, a little too exposed. Though some tiny dwarf feet were sticking out of a large slit in the dragon stomach, Hoth style. Brynnas and Hairold each grabbed a foot and pulled him free. It was Styx! After completing his ‘dream quest’, he brought himself back, bearing gifts, basically Santa. Hairold was disappointed that the boots didn’t fit him, but whatever, rings are cool too. After a quick update on each others situation, the blood lustful 7 cut off Shoevians head in an attempt to do a weekend at Bernies thing, but it became apparent that it wouldn’t work. Styx had brought knowledge that Shoevian had employed the Reavers to take care of her brother so that she could take control of the fortress and the horde. Hairold brought the head anyway. They untied the door leading to the main fortress and went through, with a lot of thoughts on exploration rather than finding Cryovian, as we found out his name was. Persephonie decided to stay back and try and care for Kimchi. Many popsicle humanoids littered the fortress. Persephonies senses confirmed that Cryovain hadn’t gone anywhere, which was nice. Many skeletons also splayed about the many rooms of the fortress. It became apparent to Brynass that this used to be the fortress that Emezar, an old warlord, once used to defend the against orcs. The key that Voracity found at the mansion was very helpful in getting passed a frozen gate on the roof of the fortress. The roof was a skating rink, and no one had skates. Though the stylish boots helped a lot. A mound of snow in the far corner of the roof slowly falls away as Cryovain appears, vain as ever. There was a joyous laughter as Cryovain realized that the Chilly 7 had killed his sister. He had known of her betrayal, and even though the party had done him a solid, he still wanted to kill them. He cries out in a loud roar, causing fear in many of the party. Good thing they didn’t skate off the top of the fortress. Brynnas rushes in, taking the brunt of everything and distracting the dragon from the eager but kind of useless Hairold and Styx who were too afraid to do anything. Skully turned himself into some kind of spore monster that one can only assume looks kind of like Pac Man, and sicked his eagles on the dragon! Voracity, eager to try fresh dragon meat, pulling out all the sneak attacks. Lottie, firing arrows mercilessly, trying hard to penetrate the tough and frozen dragon hide. Hairold and Styx finally get a hold of their faculties and manage to get a few shots off, but ultimately, a large spiritual Elk pins the dragon, dealing the last blow to the ice dragons ego, and life force. The wand of secrets showed the party a secret compartment in the stables. Shoevian, having stolen all of the hoard already, had used to the money to try and equip her Reaver force. Which was now in the hands of the Successful 7. Much to the disdain of the innkeeper’s wife, the party was eager to mount the two dragon heads on the wall and use some dragon hides as rugs. It was going to be a whole thing. With the dragons slain, and orcs slain, and reavers slain, and some goblins slain, and other bandits slain, and some Red Cloaks slain, who knows what kind of other adventures the Furry-ous 7 would get up to? Meanwhile, a floating island made its way south, melting snow dropping down on the unsuspecting crowds below. Water droplets of opportunity and adventure!

Prologue
From beyond the now unassuming town of Phandalin ventures a band of intrepid adventurers, a series of unfamiliar faces to the folk still residing within the humble mining settlement.
Chapter 1
Beginner’s Luck
After journeying back to Stonehill Inn, the party learns that the lieutenant of the Red Cloaks, Spider, has absconded from Phandalin via Styx’s prisoner, joyous news for the villagers.
Session/Chapter 2:
Chapter 2
Session 2 Recap
The mighty 7 (or is it "The Farel Seven" or "Mighty 6 and 1 Stoner") sat at their usually places for breakfast at the Stonehill Inn feeling good about them selves.
Chapter 3
Bugs
The exploding emerald trap had caught everyone by surprise, but some quick thinking, and quicker healing left the Feral Seven and the two dwarf companions unscathed.
Session 4 recap/Chapter 4
Raw Frog
Persephonie, Drizzly, and Nevon looked in horror at the sight that enveloped their vision.
Chapter 5
Battle of Falcon’s Lodge
Chapter 6
Performance and Havoc
Session 7 and 8 recap
Hairold used his spell ‘sending’ to message Kimchi, and things seemed dire with their plans to meet up in the mountain pass.
