For my newest campaign, I needed a way to intertwine the adventures, since they’re all actual oneshots that I’m hurriedly slinging together into one campaign. So, enter NPC making.
Enter: Bobby Wheeler, the loyal wagoneer. I’m no good at playing an actual characters, but I sometimes get a little FOMO from not being able to roleplay sometimes. So, Bobby was the perfect solution. A bisexual disaster whos barely holding it together? He’s me. He serves as “NPC the party adopted because I gave him a funny voice,” and “plot device for the players to avoid.” He also has a horse named Sugarcube, who hates all the players and bites fingers.
Has the party already met/fallen in love with them? Or do you just expect the party to? I'd just advise a little caution if you're writing a character or plot device that will push itself on the party regardless of how they react.
If they don't want to bring Bobby with them, will you make him go with them anyway?

I know what you're thinking: "In that flurry of blows, did he use all his ki points, or save one?" Well, are ya feeling lucky, punk?
