I had an idea for a character and I'd like to utilize dnd beyond for it, is there a way to have my character be shown as a human but actually be half orc with all the species abilities? Is there a source book that allows it or would it have to be homebrew
The best way to carry the subterfuge would be to actually make a Human instead of Half-Orc until the party actually know what it is, then introduce a new copy of your character that actually is Half-orc. Like this anyone looking at your PC would see it's a Human.
In meantime, you and DM would have to find a way to use your traits like Darkvision, Relentless Endurance & Savage Attacks without being obvious to others.
My question is why you want to keep this info from the party? Having "human" show up on the character sheet is only necessary if you're hiding the fact that he's a half-orc out of character. If the deception is only in-character, just select half-orc and put a note in the character's description that they look human.

Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.

Maybe as a surprise. I once did something similar with my multiclass; used a fake character sheet on D&D Beyond but gave my DM the real one. Even when you have fellow players who are good about avoiding metagaming, sometimes a genuine reveal can be fun for the whole table.

D&D Beyond's character builder does not have that capability built-in.
However, you could make a homebrew species that has all the Half-Orc species features and just name it "Human".
pronouns: he/she/they
