So, in BG3 one of Gale's endings has him become the God of Ambition. I'm curious as to what domains people think he'd end up with, given that 5E doesn't really seem to have a lot of options that fit "ambition."

"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
According to the 2014 PH, some deities with the Knowledge domain "promise their followers that they will gain tremendous power if they unlock the secrets of the multiverse", which would fit Gale very well. Likewise, there is the SCAG's Arcana domain where some gods "see magic as pure power, to be used as its wielder sees fit".
I don't know if Gale would take interest in the ambitions of warlords and mafia bosses. But if so, he might add War and Trickery to his repertoire. Maybe then Mol would start praying to him?
