First of all thats super cool! I love themed builds, and I've been wanting to play a red Dragonborn, if only because it feels so classic and right. Have you looked into the spellfire sorcerer subclass yet? nothing crazy about it but its fully themed around fire and radiant damage so elemental adept could be useful to go all out on fire with more consistent damage in a campaign. Im sure there are plenty of other ways that smarter people are aware of for a pure fire sorcerer than my example.
Anyways heres a link to a spellfire sorcerer that I recently made if it would help inspire you at all for your future spell list. They are level 20 but thats only because I leveled them up one level at a time to get an idea of what the level progression would like in an actual campaign.

He's a red Dragon born sorcerer, currently don't have a whole lot of lore for the character but go here to view him.
Truth be told he's more so a remake of a character that I deleted in the past(Don't remember why) and he was basically the same as the remade version.
