What would Bahamut/followers do with a Blue dragon egg

I'm trying to figure out how a blue dragonborn saving a blue dragon egg from slaughter to become a follower of Bahamut and become a Platinum dragon born? Is my idea stupid?

To be honest you could have written your question more clearly. But it depends on the follower themselves, do they think all chromatic dragons are evil and are they willing to kill unborn children? They could be adopting the blue dragon egg in order to raise them to be good and to defy Tiamat.

Thank you that's a good angle.. I Wasn't sure on how to approach it let's say a blue dragonborn is a recent belief Bahamut could he rescue the egg from his previous master a blue dragon killed by a black dragon rival?? If he was going to run away with the egg from the Desert to a Bahamut temple where would he go? I'm just fishing ideas.. 

Bahamut is inherently good. I don't feel like he would condone destroying the egg - instead, there are two options:

1: Chromatic dragons are inherently evil. Bahamut would want it to be taken far away to grow up away from civilisation. Dragons are generally territorial, so once it establishes a location far away, it'll likely stay there.

2: Chromatic dragons aren't inherently evil. Bahamut would want it to be entrusted to a metallic dragon to be raised morally good.
