I'm Jc, the narrator of a D&D storytelling podcast called Multiplane Tales. The goal of the podcast is to share amazing character backstories, world lore, and adventures created by the D&D community.
I started the podcast in 2022 and ran it for about a year before taking a break while life got busy. I'm excited to be bringing it back, and I'd love the chance to feature your story in an episode!

If you want, I could tell you about my first (and yet last) tiny campaign, which petered out almost instantly, but was quite fun while it lasted.
We played an adventure written down in the Dungeon Masters Guide 2024, called the Fouled Stream. At the first session, one player couldn’t make it, so we started with two players, a paladin and a wizard, plus me, the DM. During Session 1, I first told them, that they would arrive in a small village, called High Ery, where they quickly found a tavern. While sitting at a table, they heard rumors about a terrible sickness spreading in the village, so they went to ask the barkeeper about the rumors. While ordering a “Weizentrunk” (Beer) and some “Dodka” (Vodka), they started talking to the barkeeper, who told them that many villagers got sick after bathing in the river nearby. His daughter went there to wash some clothes, and she got terribly sick too, so he is very worried about her. After hearing that, our paladin proceeded to ask the barkeeper, whether his daughter was single? The barkeeper, infuriated that someone could be so indifferent and disrespectful about his daughter’s sickness, slammed a huge barrel of “Dodka” down onto the paladins head, knocking him out immediately. The wizard then attacked the barkeeper, but missed his attack, due to a low dice roll, but the barkeeper didn’t attack the wizard, but instead went back to cleaning dirtied glasses as his action. The wizard tried to cast a spell against the barkeeper again, but missed, so he decided to apologize to the barkeeper, and they exited combat. Not much later the paladin woke up again, and apologized to the barkeeper, asking him wether he would want to join them, since he seems to be very strong. The barkeeper denied the request, and the two left the tavern. Afterwards they searched for the mayor of the town, to understand in which direction they should go, and maybe they could even ask for a reward, once they finished their mission. Eventually, they reached a large wooden house, with a locked door. Upon knocking, a little slit in the door was opened, and two eyes stared at them, asking what they wanted. When requesting to talk to the mayor, the door opened, and when they took a step in, they were confronted by a tiny old lady, standing on the ladder. She was the one who opened the door for them. The old lady proceeded to guide them through the hallway, into the mayor’s office, who was sitting at his desk. He was a half-goliath, since he was quite formidable, honoring the name High Ery with his height, and his skin had a pale blue tint to it. After telling them all the information they needed, he warned them that he already sent adventurers there, who didn’t return, so it might be very dangerous. If they succeeded though, he would reward them with 50 gold coins.
Leaving the mayor’s house, they made their way towards the river, meeting fishermen on the road, who were upset and told them that all the fish in the water were rotting. While investigating the fish, the wizard noticed some yellow glibber on it, and determined that to be the cause of the rot.
Then they entered the woods, walking between trees next to the river bank. After a while, they met Borogrove, a treant, who told them that the origin of the yellow glibber is a cave, which is the origin of a small stream that flows into the river. Afterwards, Borogrove gave them two magic acorns, which could heal them.
Then they proceeded to walk through the forest for a long while, walking in circles, before we ended our first session happily.
I’ll tell you about session 2 later, I’ve got to go now. :D
