Somethings are not easy to find with a simple google search, so I thought a place to crowd source questions about the publication history of D&D might be useful, especially since 5e seems to be so easy to convert stuff to.
Or maybe we could get into some D&D-bibliophile discussions...
So I'm wondering if any one knows about where to look in the storied annals of D&D for seafaring content?
Any modules/adventures anyone could suggest? Perhaps even an old campaign setting? There's gotta be some good material somewhere in the 40+ year published history. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Another question that I've had for the last few months is does anyone know how the TSR publication numbers work? I can't really make heads or tails of them. At first I assumed that it would be like a lot of record labels where the publication number just numbers the order things are produced in, but that doesn't seem to be the case because it seems like if you try to sort the books/products by their publication numbers then they seem to be out of chronology. I think it has something to do with the prefixes, butI'm not sure exactly what the various ranges denote...
