(I'm going to preface this by saying that Aarrah was my first high level character, and by that I mean we started off pretty high level so it was quite the trip getting to be here, but I didn't get to build her up. So I'm gonna do that here!)
Long silver lashes beat at wrinkled cheeks. Her tiny fists reach for the knotted beard of the kind priest whose temple she was left upon. The temple of Zeus has always taken in children, and she will be no exception. Despite being no bigger than a loaf of bread, her head is full of curls like starlight, and they would have named her so had she not been given over to the matron of the temple. She understands what the glow in the babe's eyes mean, and thus they deem her a Fairlight, adopting her officially into the temple's orphanage. As time goes on, she grows rapidly, and is given the name Aarrah. A bright child in many respects, she studied everything there was to know about gods and the world around them. When she finally came of age, she was given a choice, to serve Zeus in their temple, or to go out into the world and explore. Naturally, given that the temple was her home, Aarrah stayed and became one of their most learned acolytes. She often taught young children of the city about the wonders of Zeus, until the day came that she met him.
Demons had clawed their way into the mortal realm, and in a ditch effort to save the adventuring party she was with, she prayed to her deity, but she never expected an answer. An aspect of the god, sure, but not Zeus himself. Awestruck, she barely noticed when he smote a demon prince right before her eyes before disappearing to bed a mortal woman. The monk of the party, partially in disbelief, became a follower of Zeus, and the rest of them spread news of what had conspired.
Many demonic princes later the cleric finds herself yet again in dire need of assistance of her god, she hopes her prayers do not go unheeded. And they do not.
Zeus saves her, yet again, solidifying her faith. And thus, she offers herself up as a tribute to him, later becoming impregnated with his child, a second demigod. (3/4 god because she's an aasimar).
The wind blows about her and storms rage around her, but none dare touch her or her precious Cassius. None dare touch Zeus' High Priestess, nor the Raven Queen's newest ward. They know that there is power behind her small hands, though some of it may be borrowed. They know better than to cross the aasimar wreathed in smoke and storm.
(I started getting sleepy as I wrote this and didn't want to include the whole campaign she was in, but she's definitely NPC worthy. Let me know what you think!)

My mother told me once that the stars were heroes whose days have long since passed. And that they burned for as long as someone remembered them. But when people forgot about them, they burned out. So even after they die, they continue to shine for millions of years until they are forgotten. And it is only when you are forgotten that you truly die.
