So I'm going to be playing a character in a new campaign that's essentially a bounty hunter who specializes in spell casters (that Mad Eye Moody). Over his career he's encountered a number of dark mages and been affected by his fair share of spells. What I'd like is for some of these spells to have taken their own tolls on him. For example.
1. He was once repeatedly interrogated via detect thoughts and the process was not gentle, it's left him a bit mad in the head and he often talks to himself
2. In order to save himself from a Necromancers zombies he had to let off a Fireball VERY close and so he has burn marks on part of his body
3. He lost his left hand to a warlocks summoned demon and now has a clockwork replacement powered by a bound spirit (his familiar is a crawling claw).
Anyone have any similar lingering spell effecta that I could maybe use?
I have a character that has an affect called flesh rot. It doesn't actually do what flesh rot would do, but it's cursed and can spread to more parts of his body. It's definitely a different case though, because it just deals him increasing amounts of necrotic damage so he can use the infest cantrip. I also forgot the name of the spell that flesh rot is involved with.
Maybe he had levitate casted on him and is a few pounds lighter, someone could've used shatter on him and his ears ring a little sometimes, or even was caught in stinking cloud and is a little stinky wherever he goes.
After an attempt to capture some warlock or another, the PC ended up the one in captivity, suspended from the cieling of the warlocks dungeon with chains. PC escaped with a simple acid arrow spell upon the chains that held him, but the resulting acid burns that gravity brought to him are still upon his flesh to this day.
After tangling with an evil priest or cleric, he couldve had a powerful curse put upon him. The curse was too powerful for a remove curse spell, so to surpress the curse, he had holy symbols tattooed across his entire body. Were his flesh ever spoiled, the curse would no longer be held at bay...
