I have looked at the story of the bard and pirate Maimun, but I can't figure how it ended. If you have not read the Stone of Tymora trilogy and the Pirate King book, be aware that there will be spoilers. I have not read them myself, but I am currently making a D&D character who will be bound to Maimun (as a descendant) and I don't have the time to read the 4 books. So I have only read articles from https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki
Here is what I gathered. Maimun worked as a sailor on Deudermont's ship, the Sea Sprite. At a point in the trilogy the Stone of Tymora, he leaves Deudermont with Joen (his girlfriend). At the end, the two stones of Tymora and Beshaba are destroyed; and Joen goes missing in the sea, probably drown. We know that some time after, Murmin is captured by a pirate who reveals that the stone are still intact and active and that Joen is waiting for him. She has become the Queen of the Pirates. And that's how ends the trilogy. I'm guessing that Maimun joined Joen, because he is supposed to be a pirate for a big part of his life.
So now, in the book the Pirate King. If I am not mistaken, Deudermont is sent in Luskan to protect the city from pirates. At the end of the book, he dies from the hand of Kensidan, a high Captain of the city. Maimun was here as a pirate and tried to save his former friend, Deudermont. That's the only things I could gather. I could not find any information about this "pirate king".
I know I should read the books, but I unfortunately can't do that for now. But as I have a few questions about this story and can't find any answers on the internet, I am turning to you. Maybe one of you has them or a part of them.
Has Maimun become a simple pirate or was he the pirate King?
What about Joen, the pirate Quenn ? Does the book mention her?
And do we know in the book if the stone were still owned by Joen and Maimun?
Do we know where the pirates came from?
If you have any answers or any advice that could help me find them, I would be thankful :)
