Perhaps a different solution: an ancient and crumbling demiplane containing the forge of reality, in which the first stars were constructed by a combination of raw elements. The hottest temperatures that our universe has ever experienced would have been at the time of the big bang, which belched out the raw materials with which the first stars lit up. Let's say the reality forge can reach those temperatures.
