Yes please, the other day I had a character backstory made with some help, but my party already has a melee character that is good and barley any casters so I want to make a fire genasi Draconic Sorcerer, any tips to make a good backstory?

Oh no worries! Let's see, what else do you know about this sorcerer? How long have they known about their powers? How did they first manifest? Was it a horrible accident or more of a slapstick situation? As a Genasi, it's always interesting to think about how you came to be. Which parent was the genie? How did their relationship go down? I have some ideas on how he got his magic, 1 is being exposed to some dragon magic, or he just was born with it.

Maybe he's born with it, maybe it's Dragon Queen?

Alright I’m actually going wizard instead, he was born with the magic still but had to learn it like a wizard. He comes from a long line of wizards, studying to become very powerful. One day he set up a spell to make his magic more powerful than anyone before him but accidentally destroyed his village. the only people who survive are him and his brother. His brother tells him that he must still study to become a wizard, unknown to him that kindle (my characters name) was the person who destroyed the town.

That's a pretty intriguing beginning. What's his call to action to become an adventurer? Does he want to escape the havoc he's caused? Does he want to make amends by helping others? Does he want to run away in case his brother learns the truth?

He is afraid of his past, trying to run from it and trying to cover it up, he doesn’t want to let people know what he has done.
