Hi, I made a kobold monk named Ponk and I was wondering if this name is lore friendly, or if I should choose a better name.

Hi, somebody had the username "Kanon" so I had to put "Beyond" after it. Whoever had that username has made a powerful enemy. My Dandwiki account can be found at the link provided. I work on a big ol' campaign setting called Broadbarrel. You should check it out. Peace be with you, punk!
Mate, name your kobold whatever you want. I, for one, love Ponk as a kobold name.
Thanks! Supposedly kobolds have names with lots of consents and with low amounts of syllables that make them sound like profainities, so I thought Ponk was good. Thanks again for the opinion, I'm kinda new to dnd.

I would say that it's lore friendly enough. If you get a hold Volo's (VGM) the kobold section has a list of 20 names.
(VGM Page 66)––usually relate to a characteristic of the owner, such as scale color, distinctive body part, or typical behavior. For example, red foot, White claw, and Scurry are common translations of often used names. The kobold might change its name when it becomes an adult, or add an additional word– syllable after important events such as completing its first hunt, laying its first a, or surviving its first battle.––
So if you're feeling the pinch about the name, you might just take the shortcut and use a "descriptor" name as opposed to something in the proper tongue. Also since kobold names are based in draconic you could always use hey dragon born name in a pinch.
If you don't feel like grabbing the book, there is a website that I use for a lot of my naming needs and am not ashamed to plug it.
I always liked giving kobolds grandiose names since we all know they are really dragons. I had a kobold NPC called Clawrake ThunderRoar who was trying to become a blue dragon. He talked like he would bring down lightning and thunder on the party. Was really good when he picked up a level in sorcerer and could use thunder clap.

We had a Kobold named Meppo. He could only say his Name like a Pokèmon.
And a Kobold names Schniebel (it's a german word. Little boys use it for their "parts") but it sounds quite funny
just do whatever you want al long as its draconic
