It still exists, but none of the lore you refer to is still valid. Lolth is not an elemental deity and isn't associated with the Temple of Elemental Evil anymore, and hasn't for about 35 years.

Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
@ PenelopeWeaver: Sadly, there isn't a 5e deity book (I really wish there was). Eilistraee and Vhaeraun (and really most of the deities), get a few paragraphs in the SCAG, but it's sadly lacking in detail. However, most of the deity lore is pretty much still the same, aside from a few updates (such as Vhaeraun and Eilistraee now working together, rather than a part). Faiths and Pantheons is good, and I would also recommend Demihuman Deities. Also, if you are at all interested in reading any FR novels, I would suggest Evermeet: Island of Elves, and the Starlight and Shadows trilogy, both by Elaine Cunningham.

Thank you. I’ll check out Demihuman Deities when I’m done with Faiths and Pantheons. Sadly, I have too much going on irl to read any more novels rn.
I'm always reading, but that's fair. Maybe when things are smoother for you. If you can, perhaps just read the beginning of Evermeet: Island of Elves. It goes into the fall of Lolth. But if no, for now, yeah, check on Demihuman Deities. It will provide the lore of the Seldarine (elven pantheon), and the Dark Seldarine (drow pantheon).

I never said Lolth was an elemental deity and in no way is she an elemental deity. She's a Demoness. And her involvement with the Elder Elemental God (who, btw, isn't Elemental in the sense of the 4 Elements, but Elemental as in a Primal force) is that of a rival for followers (and she may well have been involved in confining him in the prison he's locked in). The whole 4 Elements aspect of the Temple of Elemental Evil was the "outer" cult, that didn't realize they were involved with a "inner" cult that involved demons (Lolth, Iuz the Old and Zuggtmoy) who were in turn being manipulated by a secret cult dedicated to the EEG.
Its rather obvious you don't know what you're talking about.

There's info on eilistraee and vhaeraun in the 2e book Drow of the Underdark as well.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.

Mordekainen's Tome has some lore about them
Cool. But I heard it contradicts a lot of the old school lore in earlier books.
The lore in MToF is consistent with the old lore on Eilistraee and Vhaeraun. That said, MToF doesn't have much on either of them.
It's the generic elf lore in general that clashes with the old lore.

Mm, sort of. Like the elf lore, MToF changed things surrounding Vhaeraun and Eilistraee (for example, the whole cutting out the tongue thing, and the fate of Eilistraeens being unknown, which is contradictory). However, it did keep the general idea of them--Eilistraee offering a better path, Vhaeraun as a being of stealth and wanting equality between the sexes. It changed the lore around them, but for the general idea of who they are, it's an okay reference.

Mm, not really. Just like it did with the elves, MToF changed a lot of of the lore around Eilistraee and Vhaeraun (Vhaeraun in particular). As a lesser example, the whole cutting out the tongue thing.
@PenelopeWeaver: this may also be a good video for info on Eilistraee, and to a lesser extent, Vhaeraun. If you have 31 minutes, it's worth a listen/watch: https://youtu.be/a9NxhuwbiRA

I would look at Demihuman Deities for some E and V lore.
I actually bought Faiths and Pantheons for 3e. Now I just gotta get around to reading it lol.
