If i,a cleric of sune get disfigured in a horrible manner, will she just abandon me on the spot?, they always discribe her as incredibely shallow god,but at the same time always saying she believes that beauty is only skin deep,i am confused, how is she good at all? And not neutral? And will my cleric be abandoned if he gets harmed?
There was a priest in one of the Avatar books years ago. His name was Adon, and he was wounded which left a large scar down his face. He ended up leaving Sune's faith over it, but I can't recall if she stopped granting him powers or just lost interest in him; I read them back in the 90s.
Her dogma is:
Beauty is more than skin deep. It issues from the core of one’s being and reveals one’s true face to the world, fair or foul. Believe in romance, as true love will win over all. Follow your heart to your true destination. Love none more than yourself except Sune, and lose yourself in love of the Lady Firehair. Perform a loving act each day, and seek to awaken love in others. Respond to love at least once in a day. Encourage beauty wherever you find it. Acquire beautiful items of all sorts, and encourage, sponsor, and protect those who create them. Keep your own body as comely as possible and as attractively displayed as situations warrant. Let hairstyle and clothing best suit your personal appearance, striving to stir and delight others who look upon you. Moreover, hide not away, but always seek to present yourself to those around you in a pleasing variety of garbs and activities so as to move them with love and desire. Love those who respond to your appearance, and let warm friendship and admiration flower where love cannot or dares not.
I would think that Sune would love a priest who tried to overcome a worshipper who was horribly disfigured, but still made the effort to be loving and as beautiful as possible.
Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.

If that was during Time of Troubles then he couldn't cast spells anyway.
I have read those books long time ago but from what I can remember he mistook her inability to grant favors for her disapproval. During Avatar Crysis only clerics close to physical avatar of the deity could get any sort of powers.
yeah I remember the time of troubles, I just can't recall why he thought Sune was an uncaring deity. I don't recall if it was lost spells, or that she didn't heal him or what exactly, or even if it was during the height of the TOT when NO clerics could cast.
I don't envision getting the books to go back and re-read them either lol
