I am trying to grasp this thread. Is the OP suggesting that the real life person has a romantic link to a fictitious character in a novel, or in a D&D setting? Am I reading this properly?
Yes. Did you the real life person (or any of your characters) ever have a crush on a D&D character? I used the example of Driz’zt (granted I was like 14 at the time).
It was meant to be an open ended thread to start discussion. Anything involving yours or your character’s feels for a D&D character is totally valid.
Everyone else got it. Even the guys talking about half naked pics of Silvara were sort of in the ballpark (my boyfriend told me that does count as a crush from a guy’s perspective).
I wouldn't say a crush, but I was a little jealous of Sturm's thing with Alhana Starbreeze.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.
In Lost Mines of Phandelver, which I am playing right now, I have a crush on Sildar Hallwinter. I kept it secret from everyone for a while, until I told My DM and the other PC. Then, when she (The PC) fell out of a window at an inn trying to wake us up for breakfast, we tryed to help her. But the inn keeper started to flirt with Sildar, to which I was not happy about. It probably took us 15 game minutes and at least 5 real minutes just to get outside. Then, during breakfast, we argued about it until she screamed in front of everyone that I had a crush on Sildar, to which I yelled at her while Sildar just sat there with his mouth open. I'm actally really glad she did that, even though it was probably the most emabarrasing moment of the campaign.
