My situation is that my regular tabletop group (D&D) is about to start a new campaign, but one of our friends lives across state lines, so I was looking for a solution to the problem which would allow him to see the tabletop game itself (very intricate with Dwarven Forge/minatures/terrain, etc.) as well as the players being able to see and hear him remotely. I just was thinking of him being able to see a "top down" view of the board along with a centrally-located microphone where he could hear people sitting around the table (3 players+him) and me, the DM. The table is a 7' pool table with a solid top cover, where we play our tabletop games.
Does anyone know of any type of camera mounts/microphone mounting ideas and/or name brands of relatively affordable microphones, etc. to make this happen? I'd be interested in any feedback/suggestions.
Thanks!

I need some suggestions.
