Dm introduced a powerful relic of my paladins order lost to the ages to me in private a few sessions ago. Brought it up to the party but they all seem rather disinterested about it. Thinking maybe its something I'll have to do on my own or later when we have time away from saving the realm.
I'm not a new player but fairly intimidated by doing things on my own and I'm not sure how to go about locating and reacquiring this object.
How do you guys think I could go about searching for my paladins holy grail. Any tips would be helpful
Hi Tali, welcome to the forum! o/
A couple of questions and possible suggestions regarding your conundrum: - How has the relic been presented to you? A tale of ir or just the mention of it out of context? If it has come through a tale, maybe you can find clues in the tale itself as to where to start looking for it - What position would you have in your paladin order? Would you have to ask permission to, say, check the library/repository of documents of the order? Looking into old dusty books and parchments or scrolls can usually give some more info, if anything give context of the time the relic was lost; next best thing, if you can't or don't have the time to do it yourself, is to find someone who can do it for you inside the order.
I'd say that as a baseline advice I'd suggest gathering as much information possible before making the first step in setting out to find it, and the best part of it is that you could do it without having to take away time for the main quest of the party if you find/pay/recruit people to do it for you. Once you have if not all a good amount of information, you can start planning a search, maybe even with the help of the rest of the party (which would be nice).
