I don't know the rules of 5e as well as other editions, but looking at it, I see no one using any kind of ranged combat, and while I see a lot of buffing magic, not a lot of blasting or control.
So when my eventual 4th player joins, my natural inclination is to suggest a Ranger, a Rogue, a Wizard, etc.
Agreed - Ranger, Rogue or Wizard seems best. Wizard: are best for people that are *really* into reading spells (probably not you since you indicated that you're not as good with 5e, and you are asking others what to play). Ranger are excellent at range and great for new players, but since you alluded to not wanting to overlap with the Druid's nature abilities, a rogue might be best (i.e. Rogues are also great at range and perfect for newer players).
Unless you are going through Tomb of Annihilation... in that case your party *needs* a Ranger for overland travel (to double the distance covered, and avoid getting lost).

What would help a 4th player really shine in this party?
