So, not sure how this would work out, still waiting to run it by my DM, but basically, let me give some context first. 1) I play an artificer with a bag of holding 2) we're in a dungeon and there is (what appears to be at least) a tarrasque just chilling in front of the last door standing between us and freedom, or at least we think so 3) Me and the DM have talked a fair bit about the spell Rope Trick, and he rulled that opening it inside a bag of holding will have the same effect as having a bag of holding inside a bag of holding.
So, here's my question: A bag of holding bomb (BohB) sucks everything within 10 ft of it to the astral plane instantly, then disappears. It's not a spell, or an effect of a spell, so the tarrasque's resistance wont work on it. However, the tarrasque is quite big, certainly bigger than 10 ft. So, assuming that the BohB is within 5 ft of it, will the tarrasque be complitely trasported to the Astral Plane, or will only the parts of it that are within 10 ft of the object be trasported there, effectively just leaving it without half its stomach or without a leg or something?

I am a new player in DnD and I'm trying to learn the basicks and have fun.
This is definitely up to DM interpretation... I believe that, RAW, basically nothing would happen, but that's no fun.
Here's what I would do if I was the DM... A Bag of Holding is an Uncommon Item, and Rope Trick is a second Level Spell. I'd say combined it's about the equivalent of a 6th level spell. So for calculating raw damage, let's compare it to Fireball, which deals 11d6 Fire damage at 6th level. So what I would do is have the Tarrasque make a DEX Saving Throw vs. your Artificer's spell save DC (since it's your spell and presumably your infused Bag of Holding)... the Tarrasque takes 11d6 Force Damage on a failed save, and half as much on a successful save, representing a portion of its body getting torn into the Astral Plane, but the hole simply isn't big enough to pull the whole creature inside. Solid damage, but not anything that's going to end the fight with one move. Against a smaller target, sure, but against a Tarrasque there's just too much monster with too much armor to take it out so easily.
The description says that any creature within 10 ft. Is sucked in. Spells and effects that require creatures to be entirely in the AOE say that in the description so by RAW the entire tarasque would be sucked in. Considering it's basically a hole in space time it also makes sense that the size of the creature doesn't matter since the space around them can just be compressed into whatever size anomaly the event creates.
I think the problem is getting it setup without harming a pc. Bare minimum it's 2 actions. Spell+throwing it. If since it's not a thrown weapon you might not even get 20ft range.
And just because it's sucked onto the Astral plane, it doesn't mean a powerful creature there might send it back or try to go to the plane it originally came from as an escape or revenge.
There are a lot of ways to take out the Tarrasque, because it's a terribly designed monster, but whoever cast the spell is going to also be sucked through the portal (it's unclear if the creatures that get pulled through all wind up at the same destination, but it's possible "get sucked into the astral plane right in front of a tarrasque's nose").
Some would argue that the fact that there are many ways to take out the Tarrasque means it's an expertly designed monster. ;)
A CR 30 monster is supposed to be something you need great heroes to deal with, not something that gets punked by a level 5 party. It probably just shouldn't be CR 30, mindless brute monsters don't really scale well unless they're made hilariously tough.

Disbelieve that illusion!

Getting close enough is the hard part. Rope Trick goes straight up from your location, so you're going to have to approach within 10ft of the monster.
