I'm a petite female who's latest character is a 7' 2" leonin guy. I've been practicing deep voices but even twenty minutes of practice on the drive to work reading signs as I pass by leaves my throat aching and sore. I'm not sure I can do it for a whole session! Can anyone here recommend a phone app that changes or modulates your voice? I already looked for myself but so many of them involve applying changes to a recording or look like a fancy studio editor and all I need is a live voice changer.
Keep in mind that you don't have to put on a voice. In fact, giving your character a voice is entirely optional. Many players choose to instead describe what their characters are saying, instead of roleplaying in first-person.
If you can play on a PC instead, then Voicemod will do that job for you.
Voicemod works great normally, but I've had issues with it when going through Discord. I'm not really sure why. Sounds distorted on the receiving side. Er, more distorted than normal and in a bad way.

I'm probably laughing.
It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.
