I'm playing in a friend's homebrew campaign and playing my first sorcerer. I'm a small town doctor with a family curse that's supposed to drive him mad. We're a large party with a wizard, two fighters, a paladin and a moon druid. The haunted sorcerer has a built in Familiar that has some cool abilities for exploration and combat, but I'm trying to find some cool combos I can enable with some select spell choices. At level 6 I can cast any spell through the familiar, but before then the normal rules apply. I've considered multiclass at 6 or 7, most likely dipping into Warlock.
My DM let's me swap out multiple spells on level-up which makes things a lot less limited, but I still have to choose carefully. I think picking up dragon's breath next level is good to diversify my damage types a bit more, but overall I'm going for flavor.
Here's my spell list at level 3 (no shield or absorb elements because I'm taunting my DM): Always Known: Bane, Unseen Servant, See Invisibility, Wither and Bloom, Disguise Self Known: Chill Touch, Mage Hand, Shocking Grasp, Prestidigitation, Disguise Self, Stream of Consumption (Grim Hollow), Enhance Ability, Grasping Ghost (Grim Hollow)
Metamagic known: Twinned Spell
The first feat I considered was picking up Shadow Touched. Invisibility is a great add, with options like Disguise Self to free up another spell or Inflict Wounds for another option to use with my familiar. Metamagic adept and eldritch adept are being considered as well, so is spell-sniper and magic-initiate.
