Hi, does anyone have tashas guide to everything? I just read something that said it contains a new thing for rangers, primal companion, or something. I've got a player with a beast master ranger, and thought it might make good reading for him, and maybe a change to his character. I've looked, but without buying the book, I can't see if irs true https://9apps.ooo/. Thanks.
You can order them to act using your bonus action, so for example you can attack and then use your bonus action to order the beast to attack
They are easier to get back if they die (by using a spell slot you can get it back with max HP)
Mechanically it brings the beastmaster up from a very weak sub class to a moderately good one, from a fun to play point of view it eliminates the frustration of having to choose whether you or the beast make an attack.

Tasha's Cauldron includes several new optional replacements for features of the base Ranger class(probably more so than for any of the other classes), as well as the new Primal Companion option for Beastmasters.
Tasha's is overall a strong book for all classes, offering plenty of interesting subclasses as well as new options for the base classes, new spells and new feats. It's definitely one of the four key books when it comes to player options(Players Handbook, Xanathar's Guide, Tasha's Cauldron and Monsters Of The Multiverse).

Primal companion is a feature in TCE that allows you to replace your beast with a new statblock, that is more powerful generally than any other beast.
The main advantages of the primal companion are
