Hey guys gonna be starting a campaign that we play Waterdeep Dragonheist into Dungeon of the Mad Mage. Was wondering if you guys could give some build ideas. I was thinking of trying lean into being a face.
I rolled some stats and got super lucky.

If you have an idea that isn't face directly I'd still love to hear the idea. Thanks.
Thanks friends, been playing DND for a while. I to the point of as long as my friends are there I'll have fun. I just thought I'd ask the community if they had any ideas.
Someone did Pal, so I'll do (Divine soul) Sorcerer. STR 9,11 INT,14 Wis,15 DEX,17 CON,17 CHA. I would +1 the CON and +2 the CHA if it's an option but +1 Dex instead of CON is fine (leaving room for a +1 at level 4 from Fey touched (if CR is allowed take Gift of Alacrity) or whichever CHA half feat you like). I like Satyr, Yuan-ti pureblood (you will have +1 INT unless you can do custom stats increases and change it to CON), Faerie (can fly), or autognome as racial choices, and if you can do custom stat increases, Loxodon.
So I like to go a different direction. Rogues make great face characters.
Mastermind: Able to blend in and mimic the accents of locals while traveling across various lands, able to offer help to allies in combat from 30 feet away as a BA, and later you get to analyze and misdirect the battlefield.
Soulknife: Psi-Bolstered Knack to help psychically boost your Cha checks you have proficiency in, everything else is either combat or infiltration-based.
Swashbuckler: Probably the best Cha Rogue, Rakish Audacity at 3rd gives you a bonus to Initiative equal to your Cha mod and you later get a nonmagical Charm effect attached to Persuasion.
Redemption Paladin Bard (any, but Eloquence in particular) Archfey Warlock Divine Soul Sorcerer
But honestly, you should avoid becoming a one-trick pony because Dragon Heist and Mad Mage are very different types of campaigns. I'd also avoid MC builds since Dragon Heist is a low-level campaign so if your build doesn't come online until 6th level then you've spend the whole Dragon Heist unable to do what you want to be able to do.
For Archfey, Bard or Sorcerer, I'd go Half Elf: STR: 9, DEX: 15+1, CON 17+1, INT 11, WIS 14, CHA 17+2 -> Fey Touched for +1 CHA at 4th level
or if another species and not a Sorcerer then: STR: 9, DEX: 15+1, CON 17, INT 11, WIS 14, CHA 17+2 -> Fey Touched for +1 CHA at 4th level, Resilient: Constitution at 8th level.
I'd be tempted to go Lore Bard and use those high stats to really be a jack of all trades with all their expertise & bonus proficiencies. Though another interesting option would be to play ArchFey warlock with Pact of the Tome & Book of Ancient Secrets for Dragon Heist then Multiclass into Bard or Sorcerer during Mad Mage.

The best build is one you will enjoy playing and we can not really help you with that.
If you want to be a face you will want high charisma which leans towards Bard, Warlock, Sorcerer, or Paladin.

I’d go pally. Put 17 in str and cha, 15 in con. 14 wis, 11 dex 9 int.
use the racial bonus option of 3/+1’s to round up both 17s for sure. The other one is tough. Really, you can make a good argument for con or dex.

The super strong face-characters would be:
Redemption Paladin
Bard (any, but Eloquence in particular)
Archfey Warlock
Divine Soul Sorcerer
