How would I go about making a dice commander build? I'm thinking Halfling Divination Wizard 2/Clockwork Soul Sorcerer 1 with Luck and Bountiful Luck but I am using it in (another) high level one-shot (lvl 20) so would like to make it as optimised as possible. Any ideas/help with level progession?
If you're going to 20, you should take divination wizard at least up to (11? I think?) the level that gives you a third Portent. High level wizard spells can also be very good for adding advantage / disadvantage to situations.
You might want to think about some Cleric to have access to Bless/Bane?

Thank you in advance!
Just an FYI dice commander tends to be a lot less effective a high levels b/c there are a lot more spells/effects with simply no saving throw, everything has Legendary Resistance, and enemy DCs are so high much of the party needs a Nat 20 to avoid it. Not to mention if the party is kitted out in magic items, they are hitting most of the time already, and enemies are hitting the party most of the time anyway.
I'd just go full Divination Wizard, maybe dip into Soul Knife Rogue or Psi-Knight Fighter for some extra dice to add to stuff without becoming MAD.

I know what you're thinking: "In that flurry of blows, did he use all his ki points, or save one?" Well, are ya feeling lucky, punk?
Cheers! This is perfect! I'm thinking Twilight/Order/Life.
