One of our party "killed" a revenant. That revenant has now added us to its victim list. Should it be possible to reason with the revenant that it only wants the one member of our party and not the whole party. If so I am quite happy to throw the guilty party under the bus and help the revenant kill them if it will stop it pursuing the rest of us.
Setting aside the larger lore question- which is DM-dependent- throwing another character under the bus is extremely bad form unless this is a story beat that player has agreed to. Seriously, this is not something you want to do on your own initiative, it's a great way to get at least one other player if not some or all of the group really ticked off with you.

A Revenant is a rational undead so you can obviously reason with one depending on DM.
they could also be reasoned with in at least one novel. Can’t remember the name-but think in Sembia somewhere.
