I've been thinking about how fun it would be to play a ninja turtle - a Monk tortle, in DnD terms - but I've been trying to figure out what classes would be best.
Kensei feels like a good choice to me because of the focus on weapons
Then for each turtle, a multi class to distinguish them
Donnie is definitely an artificer - not sure which subclass
Raph is a berserker barbarian
Then Leo and Mikey are a bit harder to pin down. Is Leo just full monk? Is Mikey a College of Dance Bard?
Multiclass Leonardo into one of the fighter or paladin subclasses that gives leadership boosts, even if it's just Battle Master for Commander's Strike
I'd buy College of Dance bard for Michaelangelo

Active characters:
Edoumiaond Willegume "Eddie" Podslee, Vegetanian scholar (College of Spirits bard) Lan Kidogo, mapach archaeologist and treasure hunter (Knowledge cleric) Mardan Ferres, elven private investigator (Assassin rogue) Peter "the Pied Piper" Hausler, human con artist/remover of vermin (Circle of the Shepherd druid) Xhekhetiel, halfling survivor of a Betrayer Gods cult (Runechild sorcerer/fighter)
It depends on the Turtle, and which adaptation. Going off of RotTMNT since that's what I most recently saw about the turtles:
Leonardo: Fighter Battle Master for the Maneuvers, or Banneret since he's the leader. Personally I would go Banneret but take the fighting style that gives you a maneuver or two, I believe it's in Tasha's;
Michelangelo: I'd make him a Monk, he just moves about more than the others. Not sure what subclass, probably Kensei or Open Hand or something. First thought for Michelangelo is Bard, but talking is something everyone can do and he's good at fighting, not a magical talker and persuader;
Raphael: Barbarian. Also pretty self explanatory, he's the big goofy guy that hits people really hard.

I don't think Kensei is needed except for maybe Leonardo. Unless you plan to homebrew nunchaku and sais, I don't think Kensei adds anything for them. I would consider Warrior of Shadow as the base.

Just thought I'd share if anyone has any ideas
Get the Mirror Image spell so that you make three copies of yourself appear.
